ok thats good and fine, and i think its sick to do that to a dog, but im not totally convinced this is real because i dont think that someone could do that without skipping a beat. The dog looks fake too, and i dont know where they could have found it in the first place. I dont know, maybe its real, but if it is, thats retarded, i would have just left it on the ground, no room for a puppy in a war zone. But i think that you are going to have a lot of wars to protest in the future, because as long as human nature is human nature, there will be wars.
 
we're all organisms that have evolved from a common ancestor, none of us have been "put here" with any better purpose than any other creature. all animals have a purpose, that's why they evolved to exist and have thus survived. if there was no reason for them being here, they wouldn't be here. the mere fact that humans are higher in the food chain than pigs or cows makes us no more important than them.
 
It does if you risk your life for a reason. You may disagree with the cause, but technically, soldiers are sent out to protect their country's interests. Hate the people who deploy them, but their job is one that should be respected.

I don't hate soldiers, I feel bad for alot of them. But I also don't think someone should be respected because they fail to see what part they play in all of this, and that they're being used.

And also, while it may be in someone's "interest" to steal if they can get away with it, that doesn't make it right, even if it is a national policy.
 
better in what sense? smarter? better adapted? 'better' is a pretty vague word, and i can assure you there are a lot of animals below us in the good chain that are 'better' than us at many things. higher in the food chain does not necessarily mean better animal.
 
humans are the best adapted creatures on earth. Why else can we live in subzero to very hot climates? We have technology, we can survived in multiple environments. We are smarter than all animals in the fact that we actually have cognitive abilities. We can understand what makes things happen. We don't sit around all day eating grass and shitting all over the place. I think that qualifies us as better. Id love to see an animal build a house with airconditioning when it gets too hot.

humans dont need to hold their breath for 8 days, we have scuba tanks. We also have submarines.And, we have cars that can make us go fast?
 
hahaha ok nevermind man, i don'tthink you get it. Like I said, the idea that "we're the best" is just an opinion. And even if we are better adapted, we should still respect other beings even if they aren't as "smart" as us.
 
Animals may not be able to build cars, jets, houses, or computers, but they were here millions of years before us and they'll be here millions of years after we're gone. Animals adapt fine to the weather, they don't need air conditioning. They evolve. How many humans have wings? We have to build surrogate wings. Animals have fur to keep warm, or they can migrate to a different climate zone, hibernate, etc... Did you ever have an ant farm as a kid? They don't have cognitive abilities and they don't build skyscrapers, but they work together better and more efficiently than any humans ever could to build their homes.

so we're more intelligent? absolutely true. however, don't underestimate animals that are 'below us.' remember that we cannot survive in those climates without technology we have crafted with our intelligence. subzero conditions would be impossible without proper clothing. we cannot survive on our own without any of the technologies we have invented. put our naked asses out there, we'll be done very quickly. animals have the abilities to survive without inventions or technologies, they can survive much better than we can. it could even be suggested that we are the worst adapted creatures on earth. we cannot survive without shit being spoon-fed to us, while animals out there bust their asses every waking moment of their lives to accomplish necessities. put them in a different environment, and in most cases, they'll be able to adapt. put us in a different environment, and unless we can come up with some kind of tools or technologies to keep us alive, we're toast.

try looking into parasites, it's absolutely incredible how they have adapted to survive within other animals. all of their systems and functions are unbelievable, and nothing we could ever accomplish.
 
So say I was to throw you into the woods with nothing. Now your on the bottom, without things that people built for you, YOU yourself can't do anything. You have very little knowledge of anything. Thats why you go and buy things, but if you were dropped in the middle of the ocean/woods/desert/anywhere we didn't build you would die

Ok, well then what would you think if an alien race who was FAR superior to humans came to our habitat and enslaved/ate us. Would that then be ok because we are no longer on the top of the food chain? Life is life no matter what sort of creature holds it.

Just because animals can outlive us in their environment better than we can naked in theirs doesn't mean that animals are better adapted to living in the world. If you think about it, humans are best adapted animals for this planet, as opposed to what you said, precisely because we can craft and mold nature into what is fitting to us, instead of reacting to it.

the first humans evolved because our intelligence came about slowly. our intelligence replaced our survivability over eons. and those people who have 'eeked out an existence,' did just that they eeked. they barely made it, and probably would not have made it had they not been rescued. and again, you have to think about how amazing we consider it when someone survives on their own for a few days or weeks. why is it so amazing? because we aren't able to do it. we're the only creatures on the planet that depend entirely on our intelligence and nothing else.

also, throw us into an ocean and we drown, we're no better than elephants. evolution and adaptation takes time. give that shark or elephant a serious pressure to change climates over time and eventually, they will begin to evolve.
 
ok, sharks have bones. they are invertebrates so they dont have a spine ( i think). Havent u ever seen a sharks jaw bone?
 
how are we superior to other animals? sure we can create awesome shit, but in the end, we are hurting ourselves. The earth was doing fine, everything was in balance, periods of destruction and creation helped animals and other species survived.

now we have people

people are destroying the environment. people are killing each other because of what they think or where they are from or what color their skin is (do you see brown foxes killing red foxes cause their skin color is different?)

just because we are powerful enough to do whatever we want, doesn't mean we should do whatever we want, or are allowed to do whatever we want.

The fact that humans use their intelligence to survive makes them better adaptive than other animals. Put a man into a situation where he doesnt have much clothing and he will kill an animal to get that clothing. Cmon man, this formula has been proven. How else would humanity have survived the ice age?
 
Ok, just to clear it up. Sharks have gills, yes they are a type of fish, no they're not from the manta ray family, yes they have a spine, but they don't have bones, they have cartilege. Also they pee out their skin, which is neat.
 
So what do you think about the theoretical example of an alien race coming to harvest humans, because the aliens are smarter? Does that make it ok?
 
great point, i did exaggerate my point, but i'm just trying to portray that we are not necessarily better than any other animal just because of our intelligence. that just because the cow and pig seem to not do anything, doesn't mean they're stupid and useless. they have just as much survivability, if not more, than we possess.

just because we use our intelligence to survive and adapt does not make us any better adapted than an animal who uses its surviving instincts to adapt. it's all about how well it works.
