This is how intelligent our politicians are....watch this bumbling fool

I worked for a state senator that was/is friends with all the big politicians here, he was the biggest idiot I ever worked for, nice guy, but jesus he failed at everything

Well, he's got a point. That's why they have all those laws regulating Florida's population. If the panhandle gets too heavy it can bend too much and break right off into the Atlantic.

?

That was difficult to watch... one of those cases where you are so embarrassed for the person speaking, it makes you embarrassed yourself.

man... that guy has some work to do. he asked the guy about the exact length and width of the island twice... and then tells him the island is gonna flip over? hmmm......

To give him the benefit of the doubt, if this is legit, you would have to imagine he could just have Alzheimer's or something.

This is my representative. See the shit I have to deal with. This guy fucking sucks, and he runs pretty much unopposed every election. Only way hell get out is term limits or if another black guy runs as a republican or independent. This is due to my gerrymandered district that is like 90% black(nothing wrong, but they are not voting in old white guys).

Another story about old hank:

one of my teachers from high school had a holocaust class and each year they would go to DC to go to the museum and sometimes talk to politicians about stuff. On one trip, the teacher met with Hank johnson along with a holocaust survivor. After the survivor told everyone about his experiences with the Nazis and concentration camps, Hanks jumps in and asks the holocaust survivor, "so these concentration camps, how were they?"

Thats like asking Mrs. Lincoln how the play was.

Im doing everything in my power to get this assclown out of office. He doesn't deserve to represent my district.

Atlantis?

Also, he makes a semi-valid point about the environment...still though, he looked like he was on heroin.

He may turn out to be Obama's new Health Care Czar. How would you feel about guys like this making decisions about your health care? It would take him 25 minutes just to sign his name on a form. After watching that video, I am more convinced than ever that we are truly fucked.

Sorry for the dub post, but here you go.

How did his district elect him? Well I live in the district, and its gerrymandered so its comprised mostly of black people. They tend not to vote for republicans or white dudes. Its that simple. Not knocking on black people here, cause they are tight, just stating the fact that it is impossible for a white person or a republican to be elected in my district.

The 4th district of Georgia used to be so gerrymandered that it stretched all the way to include a black district of Savannah (if you dont know Georgia, its on the coast and over 4 hours away).

Simply, he gets voted into office because people don't know who they are actually voting for.

because they are black? (not saying thats what you are sying, just wondering)

lets not pretend that this is exclusive to that district.

how do people like michelle bachmann get elected?

most people dont know who they are voting for.

you don't think so? i mean an island is essentially just a large boat so if you put too many people on one side...well i think we all know what happens if you do that in a canoe right? they should really find a way to make these island attached to the earth...

no. Im not saying that about all the people. I know some people vote for people in their own race just because of that and its not limited to blacks. They dont know who they are voting for, and many areas tend to be poorer and dont have the greatest schools(compared to other areas of atlanta and georgia), and I know that a lot of people just look for the democrat on the ticket. Im sure many of the rednecks in southern/rural georgia do the same when they vote.

I think the other issue is its very very hard for someone to beat an incumbent no matter their race, party, or political history.
