no, i dont think im contributing to the problem and i think i also made a valid point. i say it sometimes, but generally i try to avoid it. but my point was that usually, people who already say it, especially those who say it enough to make a thread with that in the title, probably arent going to be affected by somebody asking if he really needs to use the word. and if he can say what he wants, then so can the thread creator, so according to you, that kid shouldnt have questioned the use of the word in the first place. 'he can say what he wants.'
and just to give you some context, my brother is gay, and i have never been offended by people saying gay. its unfortunate that it is used like that, but it is, and thats all there is to it.
