My parents are so fucking critical. We just got progress reports and my grades are as follows...

Math-85

Not the absolute best, but not bad at all, It qualifies me for HONOR ROLE

Apparently it is not good enough for my parents, the 81 has their shit tied in a knot and I can't go skiing this weekend.
 
wow i have a 58 in math and around 70 in government. but then again im a senior so i really dont care...
 
It is kinda hard to sneak away in my van when my parents are at my house every second of the weekend.

That wasn't my point. My point was that he could be in a much shittier position than he is now. If you still hate me, than that's a shame but I'm not worried about it.
 
Hahaha wait till you get a D, my parents tweaked balls, cause i had grades like yours before, but they get used to it, and if you know you are getting a bad grade, tell them before so they don't get surprised and shit.
 
I dont think that is very bad though. My dad bitched at me because I got an 85 in math too, last quarter I got a 72 so he should be fucking happy.
 
yea, i got a 63% in algebra and my mom flipped a b in science and cs in everything else, meh i used to get As tho
 
Nah, my parents were bitches like that. The key is to slowly get them used to those grades, I got my shit rocked freshman and sophomore year for low 80s and high 70s, and slowly they just got used to it and just gave me the "We think you could be doing better" speeches.

So wish I had done shitty in middle school on purpose so they had low expectations. Take Algebra 1 senior year, fail the final to come out with a B, and get a new pair of skis instead of taking PreCalc and having my parents brutally penetrate me every day after a test... sigh. Retrospect is a bitch.

This worked for me sometimes...

Tell your parents that if they punish you it will only piss you off more and make you less likely to do your work. Tell them if they let you go skiing, you promise to study for at least an hour on Saturday and Sunday. If they don't let you go, you will slouch around and do everything but studying all day out of spite.

 
haha pretty much i had thet same deal my junior year and my parents wouldnt let me use the computer (unless they were right there watching me do work) or the TV from after dinner till i went to bed untill i had straight A's yeah that was bullshittttt hang in there man

Shit happened to me, I would've gotten grounded freshman year for that... key is to slowly lower their expectations. I swear it's the way of the future.
 
I have block scheduling so it's 4 classes at 83 mins each, I have..

English 11 College Prep - 92.5% B-

Criminal Justice - 80.1% C

American Studies '45-pres. - 95.6% A

Algebra 3 - 77.4% C- (I hate math)
 
yeah but then they pull the whole ..."well its your life and if you fail then you only hurt your own future."and sooo...yeah.

but you did really well on ur report card soo...they should just chill. unless ur goal is harvard
