pinkbike.com is the equivalent of ns - a bunch of 12 year olds who dont know what they are talking about.
ridemonkey.com and mtbr.com are the sites i check out all the time.

nsbm.com is a good site too but more focused toward the PNW / Canada. local forums on ridemonkey and mtbr might be better depending on what your looking for.
