This guy is a True and Proud American. A rarity these days.

that would be truly genius.....do the world a favor and smash your balls with a hammer so that no being with any of your genes is ever born

You have proven my point perfectly.
My whole argument was defending against the average persons view that engineers are just number crunching nerds, its not the 1960's anymore.
And I will answer your questions
Yes engineers are great problem solversI never said I could determine the genotype of a plant in a more logical way than a biology majorI never said I was better than a chem majorI do happen to be an awesome mechanic btw (and you have to be retarded to not know the squeaking is a belt problem and I would have checked them first) I really could care less if you can drink more bud light before you vomit than I can
I happen to have classes with a business spin on them that's why in my argument included that major. I am sorry that I may have come off cocky. In my eyes business and engineering design principles are very similar. I in no way am knocking other science or art majors they are on a different level of thinking.
The fact is that your argument against me was fucking pointless and was a stupid rant, I award you no points and may gob have mercy on your soul.

faily simple. I learned this in planetarium this year! ok the moon pulls on one side of the earth pulling the water towards it cause a high tide. the opposite side of the earth that the moon is on is also on high tide because of gravity and thus leaving the opposite ends at low tide. pretty sure it is something of that nature!

Nice one. You know, they also established separation of church and state. Funny how that works isn't it, considering marriage is a state institution.

complete bullshit, god makes the tides come in and go out, and makes stuff come back down when it goes up

that was the best speech i've heard in a while. it would have me convinced if i was bigoted, and it really reinforces a lot of stuff i believe in

it bothers me that your alive, and will someday (after you get done fucking ur navy buds) reproduce with an inbred woman and make more of you, running around destroying the potential of this country

To op,

That is an edit of my bails from the first day with my new camera. It was made on movie maker just so I could start with the ropes. If you would like to see my new edit being made on sony vegas 10 so far pm me and I would be glad to send it to you.

Love,

Matt Duenskie xoxo

A mechanic is an engineer, dumbass. And all of these stupid little references you have just made are completely irrelevant. The point is that engineering majors are often logical and to the point while business majors go out of their way to sound smart, and it takes them longer to come up with a solution. This genotype and chemical composition crap is irrelevant because that takes not much real logical thinking, you know what solution you are going for and you try to get there. This engineering guy that you quoted was using examples where you have a problem but NO solution. That is where engineering majors are good. They come up with previously unkown solutions to never before answered problems. Therefore, your post is completely irrelevant.

I don't know if someone replied to you in page 3 or 4, but I just felt like replying right now because your post was retarded. Also, I'm not an engineering major (yet), I'm a sophomore in high school.

I don't meet many super-christians where I'm from, so I want to ask Nostyle some questions:

Do you believe in the bible, front to back?

How much of a factor is your religion in your everyday lifestyle?

Why are christians so keen on making gay marriage illegal to "protect the sanctity of marriage," yet don't try to make divorce illegal, or getting married by Elvis look-a-likes in Vegas illegal?

Why do bad things happen to good, Christian people?

I want to finish off this post with this picture:

I tend to think that the people who are in same sex relationships are very down to earth due to their heavy views on equality and so on, i don't think homosexual parents would force their sexuality on their kid, but a homophobic couple who has a gay son would definately try to force it out of theirs. The non-flamboyant extreme gays (most of them) are very down to earth people and extremely normal and people only see the flamboyant ones.

Couple things about you that I dont like. First of all ignorant? How can you call someone who is supporting gay marriage ignorant. You are trying to force your opinions on other people. This country was built on the idea of INDIVIDUAL freedom. Freedom to bear arms, freedom to have your own opinions, and freedom to be whomever the fuck you want. Live, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness mother fucker! How are you going to say that someone cant get married just because your religion says so? What if its not their religion? And what the fuck ever happened to seperation of church and state. You religious fucks have tried to push your religion on others through legislation for too long. Be happy that you have your own opinions, but dont try to say that other people have to have them too. I have a gay cousin who -before coming out of the closet- was addicted to alcohol and heroin. The day he got married (to a dude) was the happiest I have ever seen him. He now runs his own small business and volunteers at the rehab clinic. How are you going to say that he cant be happy? Why cant you just there and stop being so afraid? Are you gay? Why else would someone have such a hatred of other people. Stop being so intolerant and keep your opinions to themselves. You wouldn't have even respond to this thread if you didn't want to piss people off.Fuck Yourself -God

ive been dying to use that for a while. open your mind homie. i feel sorry for you if you cant, because the world is changing. unfortunately for you, your antiquated beliefs are disappearing.

As long as you see the irony of what you said before, I don't care whether or not that was your worst edit. One of the things that bothers me the most is hypocrisy, and you making fun of a "gaper" when you're really no better yourself is just arrogant.

Actually, I'm sure it's quite clear that I along with everyone else in this thread would like to see this new edit so why don't you go ahead and post it yourself?

And lastly, let me be clear where I stand on this. I have no issue with what you believe, or what anyone else believes to be true. Who am I to judge and dictate to other people what is or isn't an absolute truth? After all there isn't much in this world that is absolutely and unarguably true, whether it be scientific theory or fact, religion, or cultural/spiritual beliefs.

What I do have an issue with however, is when a person or persons, in the assumption that their belief is the epitome of consciousness, force it upon people whether it is their will or not. I'm a strong believer in people being able to figure out things for themselves, and creating their own opinion on things. This is why I disagree with Jehovah's Witnesses for example, not at all because of their belief or religion, but because they feel compelled to force it upon every human being on the planet.

Likewise, I dislike my friends lecturing people about the "benefits" of smoking weed, and arguing against their beliefs about it. Sure there is a time for that, but when someone has decided they will not smoke, that's their choice regardless of whether they are aware of the facts or not, so let it be. (And before someone calls me out on this somehow, I do smoke weed, and quite a bit at times although I have temporarily put it aside to concentrate on academics and other things).

Now you going ahead and saying gay marriage is against your beliefs is fine. I don't contest it, and in fact I highly respect and commend you for being able to stand up for your opinion so valiantly, not many people are able to do that. What I cannot condone though, is taking it one step further and enforcing your belief that gay marriage is unconstitutional on other people. The issue does not affect you personally, and although it may go against the word of your god, it does not physically, emotionally, directly or indirectly harm you or your rights as an American citizen.

In your pursuit of happiness, you have decided to live by the word of god and I hold that in the utmost respect. But in return, I ask of you to respect others in their pursuit of happiness, and if that journey should entail the recognition of two loving individuals to be joined under the rule of law, for you to support that and respect that as you would for anyone else that you may know. You do respect gender equality no? You seem educated enough to know that women are not at all inferior to men, and in some situations are superior to the male gender. If it were an issue of gender equality in the workplace, gender equality in public areas, gender equality as a right under the American Constitution and as a fundamental aspect of human rights, would you not support that cause?

Being Gay or Lesbian is no different, just as you are attracted to women, and your mother to men (or rather, a man, not men), a Gay man or a Lesbian woman just happens to be attracted to the same gender. They are no different than you or I, so why do they suddenly have to be inferior under the eye of the law? Marriage doesn't always happen with a Priest presiding over inside a Church, and although traditional Marriages may still be considered a fundamental aspect of Christianity, the definition has morphed over the years to encompass much more than that for the general populace, and for people around the world.

I have faith that you will be able to understand my argument but please understand also that I am not trying to conform you to what I believe in any way. All I ask is that you respect the freedom of choice and the beauty of a diverse community that as someone pointed out before is a fundamental, and virtuous American value.

And if you read all of this, thank you.

It doesn't seem to be a chart based on numbers and statistics. It seems that it is merely a chart that visually shows the fact that the church in that time period killed many thinkers and inventors, which then led to nothing getting fucking done.

a mechanic is not an engineer. they may use engineering principals in their work, but so does just about every profession you could think of that doesn't involve pushing a pen all day.

you seem to also be defining any scientist by saying " They come up with previously unkown solutions to never before answered problems". that pretty much sums up science right there. much better than it does engineering. and you should also rethink that statement that genetics or chemistry doesn't take logical thinking. all science is based off of logical thinking.

and I'm not doubting engineers on their capabilities of figuring out what the best way to cool a beverage is, but you obviously have never been to an engineering party. they are the cockiest sons of bitches I've ever met. sometimes they just need to shut their god damn traps about how they think they can do anything better than someone in any other faculty.

I see no reason why gay marriage is illegal. This guy is a perfect example of how someone who is raised by a gay couple he is on the slay.

I think I need to point something out here, there are actually two main groups of Engineers:
1) Engineers who sing songs, dance, wear funny jackets and brag about how amazing Engineers are2) Engineers who solve problems.
It's a problem, I know. It's very embarrassing to be an Engineering student and watch a bunch of dudes parade around drunk midday yelling at everyone.
But remember, many of these people were basically shunned in highschool, and then all of sudden they're told they're the best and brightest, oh and heres an awesome club of awesome people that you now have free membership to!
Let them have their fun, they'll shut up when they either a) Get a job in the real world where people don't think theyre so specialb) Drop out because they can't handle the workload

to the creator - how on earth do you mix up this speech with any sort of patriotism, i dont get it? It has nothing to do with patriotism. I like what he's saying though.

To throw my hat into the ring on this Engineering thing, yeah, you are cocky fucks. Not all of you, but most. I was Chem Eng. for my first major before switching to Music and finally CompSci (emphasis on AI and robotics).
I have to deal with you CE, ME and EE's on a daily basis. So far, only the EE's are the those who I actually enjoy being around because you shitheads keep stroking your dicks to how "logical" you are. Go ahead and try and be CS, Math or Physics. I'd like to see how an Engineer fairs in Encryption and Hierarchical Data Structures, where you create your own algorithms instead of abusing the work of others.

Lrn2logic and then come back and tell me you're on the same level.

Most engineering majors cant design their way out of a paper bag...why? Cus they have no manufacturing experience and have no idea how what theyre designing is built. Theres almost zero bridge between the theory and the reality in making a product. Thats what pisses me off about most of these engineering majors in college.

Sadly all the crossover courses and majors like Mechanical Engineering Technology are being phased out and are looked down upon for some reason.

This is coming from an engineering major too.

end off topic rant.
