This guy deserves props

the sad thing is this guy is better than a ton of people on teh website including myself.

but i do have to cal you an ass... you mae me pause my music! ass.

that guy actually threw down moderatly hard for the stereotypical "gaper." I saw a corked 10 in there. props!

An instance where no poles just adds to the gaperness. The guy can spin, and slide rails, but why is his style so horrible?

my guess is he learns a trick, then is so stoked to progress he rarely does the same trick once. in my experience, i learn a trick then spend a little time learning to do it steezy...yadadameaan?

im sorry but that made me feel sick in the stomach for this sport. the good news is your not the first person to make me feel this way by any means. disregarding everything you did whilst in the air or on a rail, you are hands down one of the mst technically flawed, style-lacking skiiers i have ever seen. this is a just a personal opinion so please dont take it to heart to much, but judging by your take offs, landings and skiing into in between jumps, you are a skiier of at most beginner ability.

im saying all this because this has long been a pet hate for me in this sport, and something i believe has been on a wider level, holding back progression of the industry. that is, people who hit thge park before they actually learn to ski.

i cant be farked going right into it, but basically it is my view that the sport would progress much quicker, and have a lot more respect from outsiders, if people actually had a strong skiing foundation before hitting the park. outsiders would see something like that video and view our sport as an absolute joke. similarly, there are a lot of gun park rats out there who have undeniable talent in the park, but they cant ski to save themselves around the mounbtain. imagine how good they could be if they knew and learnt the solid skiing fundamentals.

conversely, in your defense, skiing is all about expressing yourself and having fun, but as i said, on a much more universal scale, one that extends far beyond this viedo (which is just one example of the problem), if you are truly looking to progress your skiing, learn your roots, and learn the techniques that made people like tanner hall and seth morrisson (the men who truly progressed skiing as we know it) ski the way they do today

that made my day, that was very funny

no syle what-so-ever but dope none the less...threw down harder than i can with absolutly no style

There was actually a thread like 8 months ago with this vid and the title was: "The next Andy Mahre?" It was deleted for some obscure reasons.

Still this guy pwns like 50% (of this site - including me)

You're just jealous cuz you suck at park but

you're good at regular skiing cuz you probably raced or something. i

have some friends who are like this, pretty bad at skiing but good in

the park, and you know what? they have just as much fun as the rest of

us!

that kid had a blast doing that for sure! and you know what else? if he sticks with it long enough, his style will clean up and his skiing will improve.

I dont get it....the kid throws better tricks than i do but he has no style....if i ever looked like that when i spun in the air I would sure as hell fall right on my ass....i dont get it

if i tried for years i couldnt actually achieve style that bad. i hate being a hater, but seriuously, go back to 180's and get them down before you start hucking crazy shit.

Dude, you need to get over worrying about how your sport is perceived by outsiders. There's more to skiing than just trying to convince your friends that skiing is as cool as snowboarding.

The kid's got no style and no formal training it seems, but he makes up for it by having HUGE HUGE HUGE balls. While everyone with baggy pants and no skill critiques his outfit on the internet, he is out there breaking himself in a most righteous manner. Well played sir, whoever you are.

I don't know dude, the kid is more concerned about going huge and challenging himself than about looking like everyone else. I think a lot of people on this site could take a tip from him.

dude yea i see that guy at schweitzer all the time. hes so much of a ski bum you would think hes a hobo if you didnt see him skiing. hes a cool guy though

thats crazy he was throwing like cork 5 tails and typical newschool tricks but he rode like he would be doing fucking arials.

no, hes not hte old guy, thats like his dad or brother or something named Brad. i heard he works during the summer and then blows all his money on a pass and camps at the bottom of schweitz. dunno if its true but itd be sick if it is.

there are very few people out there that can make no-poles look bearable. This guy isn't one of them...
