Uhm I think people do alot more messed up things than tossing a puppy off of a balcony.. sad to inform you.
 
Bahahah the guy would get a dog fanatic for his judge... Anyone else think 3 years is a bit too severe though? Definitely think there are cases of attempted murder and racketeering that get sentences less heavy than this

there was another storie where a guy running from a police dog ran into a pond, and then tried to drown the dog

that dude got fuuuuuuucked, he got charged with attempted murder of a police officer
 
im a total animal lover and when i saw the title of the article i was like fuckin sick bastard was torturing a dog or something...then when it was just he threw it off the balcony in a heated arguement i was like ehhhh, 3 years is a little rough. especially since it was a yorkie poo...
 
That's how messed up our country is. "oh no not a puppy he actually killed a helpless animal" He's an asshole, but not 3 years in prison level of asshole. He could have pushed someone off the balcony "in a heated argument" and gotten off easier.

Whatever.
 
wow, that is WAY too long to be in prison. i mean i love dogs and all, but it is just a dog he got 3 years in prison for killing. i mean you could do much worse things and get off easier...
 
I think he deserves more than 3 years jailtime for killing an animal. it just sickens me that he's eligable for parole in 20 months..

if it were a small child he would have had a way harsher sentence; specism at its finest.
 
just wondering what the punishment for killing say...an endangered tiger or something is? i wonder if its worse or not as bad. you can make all the fucking yorkypoos you want....3 years is ridiculous.

Seriously, this is pretty terrible, but I think it is somewhat ridiculous that the murder of a puppy gets someone three years, but you can buy veal anywhere. Also, people continue to buy dogs from puppmills etc, which is just as fucked up as this, maybe more.
 
No kidding it would have been harsher if he tossed a toddler onto the sidewalk.

You're saying that the punsihment for killing an animal and another human should be equal?
 
3 years? Wow, harsh. Rage takes over all of us at certain points in life, and what we do may have consequences we did not expect... but I think throwing a dog out and getting 3 years is a bit extreme
 
technically he did not kill it. and it needed to be done, a yorkie poodle mix come on! the only better way i could see it happening is if an eagle swooped down and snatched it it up in his big sharp talons and fly off with it... i've always heard stories but i want to see it for myself.

even a year in prison is fucking ridiculous. yeah its bad, but its a dog...I mean come on, is it that big of a deal? I love dogs but they die all the time, had one of mine get hit by a car
 
i cant understand why anyone on here thinks he should hav got that sentance, in my eyes getting any sentance at all is harsh, he should have payd for a new dog, maybe a little compensation, THATS ALL. its crazy, he's gonna get raped, have 3 years taken out of his life for FUCK ALL.
 
bahahaha so true, here in vancouver there was 2 guys that beat some guy to death because he was gay and they got one year in jail.
 
I think he should just get the penalty for destroying her property. So however much the dog was worth.
 
I love that I can stab a cow in the eye until it dies but throwing a puppy off of a balcony gets 3 years.

Still fucked up but whatever its a dog.
 
I shot a wood pecker outside my house and I still feel bad so I have no heart for killing things.
