This blows REAL Skifi out of the water

Yayyyy! I've been waiting for this! While agree ski fi is fruity as fuck, there's no need to drop the c bomb. Now everyone on this site knows your a classless act.

But, bouncing around on mattresses and hoping off your board just isn't cool. Zero consequence. Super creative and different, but nothing made me go o shit, Thats crazy!!! My mind was blown on a few occasions, like that hand plant revert, but a a smelly heshter skimming across puddles on one foot. Nahhhhh man, gimme halldor
 
There was some cool stuff in there but I'm not really a fan of one footers. Many of those shots weren't very gnarly either IMO.
 
Honestly I enjoy watching Scott Stevens edits more than most ski edits. One of the most creative person in snow sports.
 
Apparently this was supposed to be his last "different" segment so he went all out. I'm not sure but he might start to go back to standard tricks more often while filming. And please if this was a skier everyone would be freaking out and pulling down trousers like it was the end of the world. Also if you think because i used the word cunt people will think lowly of me....I am one of the most useless members on this site since i returned a few months back. HOLLLA ATCHAAAA BOIIII

I agree in some aspects, however, there's a complete lack of lines in that video. Real SkiFi is about ridiculous lines / shots that are 30 seconds long.

I'm impressed with this though.

It's a great vid, don't get me wrong, Scott Stevens is by far my favorite snowboarder to watch, but there's simply no comparison.

And by that I don't mean no comparison, like Real Skifi's wayyy better or anything, I mean there's actually no comparison to be made. They're different sports with incredibly different intricacies to them. Real Skifi can't do some of the stuff Scott Stevens does because they're restricted by gear. They can't go no-footed because skis have brakes and snowboards don't. With a snowboard, you can one foot stuff and ride the same way you do two-footed. On skis, riding one footed is nothing like having both skis on.

TL;DR

You think Scott Stevens could ever do a back 3 swap to a front 3 swap? I doubt it. Skiing and snowboarding are different sports, and don't merit this kind of side-by-side comparison.
 
i actually wrote the words "let the drama begin" in the body of this thread.how much more could i be trying to stir the pot in my initial creation of this thread?

i dont care about REAL SKIFI, never have, never will, they are nothing of what i like about skiing.

 
You were certainly stirring the pot. I wasn't contesting that. But you were stirring the pot by making jackasses statements, and then using "I'm stirring the pot" as a scapegoat for not defending them. So basically, you were doing a shitty job of stirring the pot.

So what about them do you not like? Why do you think Stevens blows them out of the water? Maybe support your statement with some ACTUAL CLAIMS instead of reminding everyone that you're "stirring the pot." No one gives a fuck. You said something (that, IMO, is ridiculous), watched everyone contest it, then basically just said you're stirring the pot. That's no excuse for saying stupid shit. If you're gonna stir the pot, stir it well.

This I can agree with. Front 2s are why skiing looks like snownboardings molested step sister who dwells in yoiur uncles basement. Its not that hard to go back 2
 
look at the cover of Freeskier (claim), as if i hate skiing.and mousseu for the tenth time, i put these videos up to show skiing whats on the flip side and have conversations about it via ski gabber. 9 out of 10 of the threads in ski gabber are completely worthless in my opinion, at least this evokes some sort of actual thought, or at least i hoped it to.

They can't be compare. One is snowboarding and one is skiing. Also Real skifi is a group of people and Scotty is a single person. But both are rad.
 
Considering most lawsuits originate in the United States I think this idea would be kind of suicidal. Could it be done somehow? I have no doubts with enough time x money x tinkering some sort of workable prototype could be made. Should it be mass produced? I doubt it. It me more in the realm of circus tricks/stunts. One might think of different sporting applications it might be applied to, but at the end of the day it's probably a bad idea as far as a business ventures go. Not to say this idea might now pop up on kickstart down the line, I just hope whoever does it opens it as an LLC.

Well, unfortunately the world doesn't revolve around you, and what you may think is worthless might be an amazing read for the next person. We have rules, and encourage people to follow them. They are pretty simple and far from strict. We have a video section for videos, and forums for discussions. We'll often times leave videos in Ski Gabber if there's some type of discussion happening around the video.

The issue is that 9/10 of your threads in ski gabber are simply videos with zero text -- so why not post them in the video section? If you actually cared to have a discussion, take 5 minutes of your busy life and write two sentences. A thread like this isn't bringing anything new or positive to the table -- you're simply stirring the pot for the shit of it.

You created a thread just over a month ago titled "Does anyone want skiers and snowboarders to be in harmony?" and then follow it up with something like this? In that thread you hated on REAL Skifi. Maybe instead of focusing your time and energy on something you hate... simply don't watch REAL Skifi. Don't show REAL Skifi to your snowboarder friends. Don't create multiple threads and posts about REAL Skifi. Instead of focusing on the negative, try focusing on the positive.

I've worked in and around skiing for a good while now, and can honestly say I have yet to come across someone who truly hates a member of the opposite snow sliding sport. Yes, there is the usual cheapshots and 10-year old jokes, but nothing I would call real hate.

Have you ever thought the problem may lie with the people you surround yourself with -- and not skiing and snowboarding as a whole? If someone was to ask me to name one person who has perpetuated the myth of skiers vs snowboarders, your name would be #1 on my list.
 
This issue would be resolved if, as I've suggested, the video/picture comments section was formatted like the forums and allowed for proper discussions.

Also, did pickup just get his orange name revoked?
