Thinking about new sticks for the 12-13 season

Be prepared, it's long, but it's full of info, so no complaining haha.

Yes that is next year as I think I might make this my last year on my current skis. Bit about myself;-I am 19, I'll be 20 (wow)

-I'll probably weigh in at a massive 125 pounds at like 5'5" or 5'6"

-Skiing NJ/PA, lots of rails, some urban type scenarios.

-and most importantly, the snow; ice, fake, slush. thats 'bout it.

-tricks I'll be into? hard to say but this season I think I'll be trying a lot of B&E type grinds if you know what I mean. As for airs, I'm more of a slow spin kind of guy.

-relevant? I'm not sure, I wear a 25.5 dalbello il moro.

Things i'm looking for;

-probably a symmetrical ski

-something I can carve with. now I currently have disorderlys and have no trouble carving on the snow conditions aside form the occasional loss of grip probably due to my edges being so dull and the fact that they're soft skis. Plus it's usually ice i lose grip on anyway So basically I think I'll be able to change to any full camber ski and carve just fine.

-preferably a thinner waist. I know wide skis are all the rage now, but I'll take my faster edge to edge times. Although I'm not opposed to something like 90 or so.

-good edges. I also rollerblade as you might be aware, so I like rails.

-length: somewhere around 165-171. Like as tall as I am, a bit taller probably. be willing to go 171 or so with rocker.

things I'm considering

-rocker, be it no camber and tip rocker, or camber and tip rocker. I'm torn on this, I'd love to demo some skis but that's not a guarantee. I did try JJ's out west and thought they were a blast. But trust me on this one, your snows a lot different. Also used Icelantic Shamans, liked those a lot too, those carve hard, hit my ass on the ground hard.

-the flex, I don't really care actually, seems like lots of people say skis like chronics are stiff (my brother has them) and while they're certainly stiffer than my skis, they're not that stiff. Plus I land under my bindings a lot from skating so I don't count on the tails/noses to much during landing. obviously a bit but not enough that'd I'd wheelie out if I had soft skis. don't do it now and my skis are soft.

skis i'm looking at

-walls

-domains

-punx

-ace of spades

-whatever fischer or elan makes. I'm unsure about these and I don't even know what they're called but I think they make a quality ski yeah?

things i'm not totally opposed to

-step ups. I've never tried an afterbang type construction yet so thats all.

-a couple other skis.

-directional skis like the recoil, fischer or elan directional skis, AR7, the rossi ski...

appreciate the opinions NS. got any skate questions shoot me a PM

assuming there's demos at places near me, yes I do. title backfire, I'm probably going to get this years or last years skis, hence the reason for the info now, about current skis.

171 on3p filthy rich

168 liberty antigen

164 atomic punx

163 coreupt dirty bastard

170 icelantic da'nollie

169 k2 domain

166 moment reno jib

yeah i'd stay away from elan. I won a pair last year and mounted them up for shits and giggles, they were probably the shittiest feeling skis ive ever been on and i cracked the fuck out of the edges in about 3 days.

aright scratch the elans then. my highest contenders were walls, domains, and punx. I was really liking the idea of walls until the idea of rocker hit me which created indecision.
