Thinking about my trip to Jackson Hole

So for miracuously graduating high school, my uncle said he'd take me skiing out west since Ive never been anywhere but whistler for camp. Ive been skiing my whole life and have done plenty of backcountry in NH and VT.

I'm figuring Jackson Hole would be a sick place to go. From Micah Black's parts in movies and a few magazine articles the place sounds so sick.

Anyone that lives there wanna give me some more info? I have march 17-27 off for spring break so thats when ill be going. either message me or hit me up on AIM at npublicenemy900

yo im from motana, and ive been to jackson a few times, super sick place SO much terrain ull never ski the same run there, the tram is so sick, should be some good snow around then

ya i was there this march break, and holy shit, if you hit it on a powder week you ski untracked ALL the time, never once will you ski groomed or tracked snow. sooo much shit, its incredible. if weather is shitty, the park is pretty decent, but dont spend much time there, so much better stuff in J-Hole

The backcountry of NH and VT doesnt even compare to JH's backcountry, in fact it doesnt even compare to their inbounds terrain. And what micah black skis is not going to be what you want to ski.

 
^ yeah yeah i know im just saying i have some(and i use that loosely) experience. But what else is there like hows the park if i even decide to see it. and where should i stay? any one know of good deals, like a hotel real close or stuff like that?

there is a best western hill side pretty inexpensive, and the park is decent

well the jackson tramis no longer there...buttttt the mtn couldnt be more epic regardless...i went there to shoot bc last year and it was sick...there is so much visible stuff you can hike...its like "ahh that looks sick!"...then the local is like..."oh yea ill take you there now" if you ski around with someone who knows the mtn it couldnt be more fun...anything you can see you can ski with a short hike its my favorite mtn for sure

good thing you're going this year because the place is about to go "Vail mega Make-over" For any who haven't gone yet this is the year, so you can tell people "I remember when...."

 
Not quite a vail mega-makeover. They're adding a lot of affordable housing and a small amount of commercial. It shouldn't be that different. And from what I've heard the tram will be back in like 3 or 4 years.
