Thinking about doing a juice purge

cleanse, fast, whatever you want to call it.

juice only diet for a week.

WHAT DO I PUT IN MY JUICER TO JUICE SO I CAN HAVE ME SOME TASTY NUTRITIOUS JUICE MEALS?!

i hear you only have to cleanse for 3 days if you add a bunch of semen to your juices then take them up the ass as an enema

OP I have a free subscription to Oprah magazine and Cosmopolitan. This months edition has 40 Kama Sutra techniques for you and your husband to revitalize your marriage. Let me know if you're interested.

or you can just drink a shit ton of water along with some healthy food, that cleanses too

You just said you have a subscription to Oprah magazine and cosmopolitan. Im sorry but That makes you more gay then op.

i think it's healthier to just eat healthily, drink lots of water, and just eat way less, maybe with occasional small fasts

Yeah intermittent fasting is actually beneficial in some extents. Enduring a week long "detox" to get rid of all the "toxins" is not backed by actual studies at all, just things that chubby moms on facebook talk about

There is no need to "fast"... Seriously, why would you voluntarily starve yourself? Eat healthy and exercise. Your body will naturally cleanse itself...

For real tho, you should follow through with juicing to some degree. I highly recommend smoothies for breakfast (I am too poor to afford a juicer). They are energy in a pure form that is easily digestible and they have tons of sugars to kick start the day. As far as a recipe goes, just freestyle it. Grab anything -fruit or vegetable- and just throw it in the blender. Its really difficult to actually make something that tastes bad imo. Also, don't use ice cubes, buy some frozen berries instead.

I've done the juice diet twice, in all honesty you feel better after. However, I have only done it for 3 days the times I did it... I would suggest some fruits in the morning, nice old green vegetables mixed with a couple fruits for lunch.. then last just straight up vegetables... I have to say it's an acquired taste.. which I never quite acquired.. But it is worth it in the end. My suggestion is get some carrots to put in the juicer for the evening juice because it takes away from the earthy flavor.

juice fasting is stupid. your body needs fat and protein and fibre all all that good stuff.

Also try a green monster. Take like a huge handful of spinach, some peanut butter and a banana or two and put it in the blender with some almond milk. It tastes really good (spinach has almost no taste) and has lots of vitamins and fibre, some sugar and some fat and some protein. I fucking love those things.

fasting isnt "starving". the moment your body starts to burn fat, a lot of the hunger sensation goes away.

yes, it might not be the healthiest thing in the world or the best answer to all these little problems, but simply try it for a few days.

people fast since thousands of years, in most religions it is considered to be a basis for enlightenment. maybe its worth to look at it. youre not hurting anybody else and if youre reasonably healthy, you wont hurt your body at all.

again, youre not starving.

think about our ancestors roaming around in the african desert. maybe you find something to eat or not. maybe you have to keep on going for another few days. i just dont think that something as "natural" as not having something to eat for a few days every once in a while is very unhealthy.

thats why i am not giving two shits about sleep cycles and eating schedules. every other animal has to find a way to survive every single day, no matter what it takes. for the most part, it will take a different approach than yesterday.

this.

For thousands of years we have lived as hunter gatherers and you know what happens when the hunting and gathering is not so hot? you don't eat. People can last months without eating food and for sure we never had three meals a day while not doing shit in front of a computer for months on end. Lol. and we wonder why we get fat.

not eating one or two months might not be all that healthy, yes. but several days CANNOT be a problem.

but i agree with your point, one could always spin it so that there is an evolutionary advantage to creating food resources which are always available.

One of my best friends I workout with started getting some bad anxiety with stimulant pre workout stuff. Anxiety sucks. Went through about 7 weeks of fucking HELL last year around this time and lost 9lbs in two weeks. He decided to fast. Consume nothing but water. Nothing. He did this for how long? 30 fucking days. No joke. He lost 33lbs and about 4 sizes in his pants. Complete cleanse. Definitely not the smartest thing to do but he is also one of the smartest people I know so not sure how that irony pans out there. Eating regularly after something like that can kill you. He spent about a week just eating small salads, watermelon, fruits, and water based veggies like cucumbers and such until he started adding legit carbs and whatnot. The hunger feeling does go away around day 10 or so. I'd go over to his house to see how he was doing and he'd answer the door with Food Network on and I was witnessing some of the sweetest meals begin prepared in front of a dude who hadnt eaten in 3 weeks, wtf? He's back to normal almost, eating fine but it's possible. You can survive a whole month on water.

people adapt to different diet over relatively short periods of time. for example native americans are often fat/diabetic because they are not used to high carb diets. so basing your diet off of what your ancestors did tens of thousands of years ago is just plain stupid. Plus look at any remaining hunter-gatherer type people in the world, they are all skinny, short and don't live very long.

fasting for a couple of days is not healthy. mind you, neither is eating meat and dairy at every meal. sure going on a juice fast for a few days will probably have no long term effect on your health. If you do it a lot it might. But even so, the only reason I can think of why someone would go on a fast like this is because they think it has some kind of positive health benefit, which it clearly does not.
