Thinking about buying new skis. Should I stick with Armada or buy something else?

I own a pair of 2006 Armada AR6s and I have skied them since I bought them. I have grown a lot since I bought them and frankly, me at 5'8" 200 pounds, my little 161s just cannot handle me anymore. I prefer riding something that can do it all, but with a focus on riding groomers. I live in a place that doesn't get a lot of snow very often, so riding deep powder isn't something I expect, but I enjoy it a ton when it happens. I like to ride the park too, so it needs be able to have some ability to hit some jumps and such. I've been looking into Armada a lot because that is what I have skied and I fell in love with what I had, but maybe I'm just biased. What kind of skies should I get?

AR7's are pretty bomb. They hold an edge great and will shred it up as a great ski. Can't go wrong with them. Halos are a park GOD. They will not ski the same as ar7's (coming from a racing background) but are incredibly fun in the park. The swing weight on the Halo's is super low as well. So take your pick of the two. Also the Alpha 1's can be substituted for the Halos as they are super similar, just the Alpha's are stiffer so if you do larger jumps most of the time Alpha's may be the best choice for you.

Sparknotes: AR7's for overall goodness and great handling, Halos for less carving but amazing with jibs and most jumps, Alpha's for large jumps (60+) but still good for jibbing. That is my two cents.

IMO i would try the ARV, watching henrik ski on those looks so fun a little wider ski would be sweet, i have the alpha 1s know, and have rode the halos there pretty much the same thing, the halo is a little flexier but by no means is buttery, both very fun skis in the park, not as much all over the hill, the ar7s are cool and the thalls are nice too

From what I've heard the ARV is slightly more stable but is a little heavier than the AR7. I also heard though that the difference between the two doesn't make much of a performance difference, just a feel difference. So it depends on the rider.

I think the ARVs would be really nice to have. I don't really want a ski that has too much of a focus though. I'm just looking for something that has it all, so the ARV would be nice. Is there any other brand of ski or style that I could look into? Or is Armada just a god of ski making?

i went with armada last year, going with on3p this year getting the JMO's but probably still using the alpha 1s as a park ski.......armada makes good stuff but its mass produced which theres nothing wrong with but this year im going with hand made skis....iv also heard great things about Moment skis, Icelandtic but armada is always a good choice

A lot of different options here. Blends might work for you, K2 Recoils. You're definitely gonna want something stiff and taller than you at your height and weight.

if you like armada, then you should probably stick with them.i dont know anything about any of te armada skis besides what I heard.

If not, Line Blends,Moment PB&J??
