it's gonna be so weird many years from now when like all of us are old and we're like warren miller's age and we remember our skiing past and we remember NS. I'd like to see NS around like 60 years from now but i don't think it'll matter much to us anyways since we won't have much to post in the forums other than stuff like 'what's the best denture cleaner', 'Depends piss me off' and useless old person stuff...but anyways when we're that old we'll lose our generation but we'll still have skiing. Cause we all wanna lie to ourselves and say we'll still be going big and throwing down when we're old but after a certain age all that will be lost and we'll be skiing boring non-steep powder like warren miller...skiing kicks ass though

that's so long from now but could you imagine life without NS...holy shit

I have a serious problem with that. How does a sport becoming popular effect how much you enjoy it? Oh wait...it shouldn't, unless you are just an 'early adopter' of a new fad, and only because you found something 'cool' a year before other people, it somehow gives you the authority to tell other people that they are 'killing the soul of the sport'.

You sir, obviously have a very misplaced ideal of what the 'soul' of something should be. It is not something that can be bought or sold or altered because a lot of people take it up. For the same reason, you cannot call a company the 'soul' of the sport, or holding the proper idea of what the soul should be because that company is just like every other company in the sport. The bottom line of all of them is to make money. Without money, they can't continue to operate so it absolutely has to be the directive.

The 'soul' of skiing is doing something that is fun and brings you happiness. It is the same thing as the 'soul' of every other sport or activity or whatever, because they are all something that gives you no benefits other than it being fun. Any money you may make from it, or things you do all just boil down to fact that you are doing something you love.

you can still ski when your old my freinds uncle is 46 or something and he still hucks cliffs goes huge off of jumps, he crashes har and just gets up with a huge smile on his face. hes still learning new tricks and stuff. its pretty rad i want to be like that when i get old

when we are all that old there should be a new forum: the NS ALUMNI forum. that would be really cool. and all of us on here now would be in there talking about all the new little shits, like ourselves, destroying the sport and shit and we could reminse of old times and all the great threads (like cj's hot girl thread)

Global warming wont make skiing impossible for a LONG time, and before it does we'll have a few years of awesome winters cause the warming will cause more evaporation in the oceans which means more snow.

this is from way up top, but lanks man, that global warming crap..stupid comment. Global warming has increased world temperatures an estimated 6 degree Farenheit. Due to more stringent pollution laws and such, global warming isn't gonna kill skiing man...,

hahaha oldschoolers.com The ski resorts in michigan had a big meeting about what to do because of global warming. Its estimated that michigan's climate will be like arkansas in 50 years. But you know Michigan. It can change in 5 minutes.

my body already feels the tolls of skiing and i am 22. but i will be damned if thats gonna stop me from having a good time, skiing for me is that rush of arenaline whether it be carving down a run or flying through the air. when i get older i will still be doing what i love the way i love it except my body wont like it too much
