I don't know too much about guitar but I'm sure they made it look harder than it was. And it's kind of lame video game music.

Quite the contrary actually, they made it look a hell of a lot easier than it actually is. Not a fan of the genre, but I've heard some Dragonforce, and those guys can fucking shred. Lots of respect in my book.
 
yeah, Frusciante from RHCP is amazing. and Flea is my all time favorite bass player.

that dragonforce solo was insane though
 
this band is like, the most success a person can achieve through a lifetime of sitting on the couch getting stoned and drinking beer, while not cutting their hair.
 
a couple of my buddies have a band that plays progressive metal and he can play yngwie malmsteen, joe satriani, steve vai, dream theater. Fucking amazing guitar players, all those guys put dragonforce to shame.
 
That stuff is definitely pretty sick and they are really sick guitar players, but i prefer listening to more stuff like Frusciante and Clapton and guys like that whose stuff just sounds more styley instead of that ridiculously fast shit, that , dont get me wrong, is pretty sick and ridiculous to play, but it just doesnt sound like guitar...
