Things you hate to see in Ski Edits

Personally I hate dubstep music in edits. It also drives me insane when it's all POV footage. Although I think the worst is when you can hear crackling and rustling of the camera (Often with GoPro stuff).

What things bother you to see in skiing edits?

I enjoy a lil partying in an edit, especially if it makes me laugh just as long as it's not overdone.

I hate over edited shots

When people have multiple shots of the same damn trick off of the same feature, but they don't crash.

my dad and i were watching sunny together, and he doesn't really like park but he thought the bc part was so sick until they started smoking weed at the bottom of a sick pillow line...i sorta agree, its not worth it and a bad example

I don't understand the partying I usually just scroll through it. Also switching angles in the middle of a trick.

depending on the angle i hate it or love like if it goes from a sick angle then a horrible one that bothers me

haha dude I am the exact same way! My attention span is zilch.

I also hate to see the tip of a guys penis taking a piss on some girl. Too weird for me

Kids posting obviously ski gabber threads in non-ski gabber. It's like, just fuckin' ski, man, i don't need to see how much you suck at NS

I hate when clips are over edited, there is like 1 trick in the whole edit, cause they are all the same and when if it is a gopro edit the people like take the gopro and shove it at there back and forth at there face ughhh smh

im just getting sick of gopro edits. no matter what they just arent good shots unless youre good with editing.

I hate fan made videos

I hate when people use waaay too much color correction

Dubstep

Too much slow motion

90% of edits on YouTube (unless they're posted on NS too)

Long edits without satisfying filler shots

Edits with bad lighting

Bad music

Edits when every trick looks hucked

yes but for dubstep IMO some house/electric music sounds good and maybe some dubstep thats not skrillex shit

Not trying to hate on anyont but edits where people wear tight pants I just can't enjoy. I don't mind people who wear tight gear and am not trying to stats a tight vs baggy war but fuck I can't stand there edits. That and dubstep

When white kids make stupid hand gestures to their gopro that their parents bought them because they're so "thug" and "cool". Stupid little shits.

I can kinda feel it. I feel like tricks in skinny pants never look as smooth/stylish as they would in baggy pants. Skinnies just make everyone look knock kneed. Not hatin though, wear whatever floats your boat...

Exactly. If two people do the same trick on the same feature, one wearing skinny pants one wearing baggy I always feel like the baggy outerwear looks more fluid and all around sick.

when people spend too much time sticking their face in the camera and making gay hand gestures.

You guys are no fun, some drinking and smoking clips are awesome in edits. Hood Crew for example is always releasing awesome videos.

this. Some partying is good and something that I like to see in some edits. But showing some teenager taking a hit between each clip is just annoying...

When the edit has more lifestyle, cinematography, into, shot etc than it does skiing. But also just curious how do people get away with putting shots of themselves smoking weed in their edits?

kids who aren't actually filming in widescreen mode on their camera, but they edit it and make it look like they are.

i'm not saying I hate people like evan willaims or stept, because I don't I love their edits, i'm saying I hate when people edit their clips to make it look like they film in widescreen mode, when they actually don't.

the overly sentimental voice overs.

you woke up, drove to the hill, and skied. It probably wasn't a completely life and attitude changing event.

feature film trailers are more guilty of this though.

Hahahaha... good lord, you must suck to hang out with.

Smoking weed in the BC isn't worth it? Please, enlighten us on the dangers of smoking herb...

Also it's a bad example? How is a two second clip going to make kids want to start doing drugs? It took a lot more than a ski movie to influence me and what the fuck are you doing looking at a ski movie as some kind of parental influence?

Kids like you are as bad as the parents that sue video game companies for making their kids act like shit heads.

when people look back at the camera after every trick they do. I don't know if it's been said but dam, idk why I dislike it so much .

yea if its a pros edit like wallischs there bound to be good but now i goto my home mountain after christmas and see the 12 year olds who think theyre good with 2 gopros each
