Things to do in San Francisco

I'm here until Sunday night and I have an open schedule as my dad has to be in meetings all day (I tagged along on a business trip). I need some ideas of cool shit to do, or find some cool people to hang out with

The San Francisco Walking Dykes is a weekly walking group that meets “rain or shine” every Saturday at 11AM in front of the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. The purpose of the group is to build community for lesbians and queers. Be ready.

July 14-15

Walk through the ghetto......in the evening..... After the trolly ride.......33 blocks..............back to the hotel.

Wasn't my best experience haha.

Seriously tho, I was there acouple days ago and the really steep,8-point turn road is cool. Also pier 39 is pretty cool.

throw coins at homeless people

walk around

food

food

food

go see the disney museum

walk around

food

coit tower

alcatraz

the zoo there is really cool if you are in to that kind of thing

go to the farmers market down near the wharf for some EPIC mexican food.

I live in lower haight.

go to:

sfstation.com

sfgate.com

haighteration.com and the linked neighborhood blogs.

There are a ton of concerts, and food tours, and touristy shit going on all the damn time. just use your intermanet.

Touristy shit would include: go to the upper haight(corner of haight and ashbury) to check out all the funky shops. go to the mission to eat at the rediculously awesome eateries. go to north beach and the marina to see the GG bridge, palace of the fine arts(really cool spot) and the general touristy shit there.

If you want bud, you can literally buy some off most of the bums in the upper haight- instead of begging for change they beg to sell you weed.

I hate to tell you this but its gonna be cold and gray everyday, so remember to dress warm.

Acquire copious amounts of PCP and alternate between beating up helpless women and performing impressive gymnastic skills naked in the Bart station

Hang out on the bluffs near the bridge if the weather is nice, watch the sun set at OB(Watch out for dangerous rips)

Eat sushi if you're into that kind of thing. Lots of great venues and probably some good music going on now if you're into the live music thing.

Enjoy the fact that pretty much all of SF is safe to walk i aren't a girl. Regardless public transportation is solid.

You could always take the tourist route, lombard, fishermans wharf, ride a trolley, etc.

If you have a car and and some time to kill yosemite is fucking gorgeous.

thanks for all the replies guys, I wasn't expecting much. What I have done so far:

Giants Game with my dad

Chrissy fields

mall

Sotto Mare (best fucking seafood place I have been to)

and a whole bunch of just walking around market street.

I brought my skateboard but I haven't skated much yet, any sick places/parks I should make sure to hit tomorrow?

I'm jealous, San Fran would be an awesome place to visit. My brother actually flew in this morning for a weekend of lacrosse tournaments, sounds like a good time.

Go down to pier 39. It's cool to spend an afternoon and look around at the shops and seals down there. Also, walk down a bit toward the bridge and there will be some street vendors and actors that are pretty neat. I got a spray painting done in like 5 minutes for like 20 bucks and it's dope as fuck. It's galaxy print and shit.

Also, go to boudin's bakery. Bomb ass sourdough. I get it a lot. Get either chowder in a bread bowl or a turkey and havarti sandwich and eat that there and then get like a loaf to take with you to eat later.

alcatraz is the shit! the gardens there are incredible; really cool cause they were all planted by the inmates as a hobby. it's incredible how closely it resembles the tony hawk level.

Remember the ICER air?

OP, go get something to eat. There's so much good asian food in SF.

SFMOMA is worth going to if you're into art.

I'm pretty sure they did this on the bachelor. I'm on mobile right now, but if you google it it'll probably come up.
