That's because no woman has ever been recognized. Seriously, the art history has been EXTREMELY preferable to men.

Women can be just as good artists as men, it's impossible to lower this question to a gender matter in the first place. I mean, in the days when michelangelo was popular there was NO FUCKING WAY that a woman attempting sculturing would be recognized.

Why? because women were degraded, looked upon as only worthy house work.

Let's change that. I for one thinks that art without autographs is the solution. Erases all the fucked up "concept art" and all that other bullshit that some wacked up elite with conjac glasses recognizes as art.
 
... I also like to add that removing autographs makes people buy what they acctually find apealing, not a dick extender considering the pricetag on some objects.

Also, look at schools and art grades. Statistics show girls kick major ass.

^ seriously, how can anyone belive that such an abstract thing as ART can possibly taken into a genderwise account? Are you fucking stupid? The ONLY way to even measure "skills" in art, and I say skills because art is more than just being able to draw something accurate enough, is just that - to draw something accurate. An aspect that is just a nano fragment of the whole of art.
 
first off let me say that ^ has an amazing signature. "obviously you're not a golfer" ! and secondly what about all the women who's work was contributed under male names. Artemisia Gentileschi was part of the renaissance but her work was sent in under male pseudonyms so that it would be recognised. There are many 'famous' males that were actually females but not many people know of them because of the repression. and lastly I have to say to any of you who follow worldy affairs that Condoleezza Rice is doing a hell of a job, better then Bush and you can't deny that. She would have made a far better president.
