I was watching this ski history movie on RSN last night, and it was all black and white, shitty filming exc. But low and behold everyone was in Europe was on straight wooden twins doing balet n shit. I guess it was real popular way back when, lost popularity for a while and regained it. the movie was funny people were doing 180's off windlips n shit and it was so old school. Nobody in the movie could turn properly, they all had such horrible form, probably because their equipment was all wood and nails

my class was watching this old ski movie, must have been before the 60's. anyways, one guy had wooden skis with curled up tails. then this one guy did a 180 off a 10 foot cliff into pow. didnt really land it but it was cool to see

saw an article in SKI awhile back that said the first known twin-tip was made around the turn of the century way before skiing was really even an industry.

ya man i did a report on the controversy over this and it turns out the first kinds of skis (that were kinda like telemark) had twin tips
