ok, I was watching my tape of the 01' freeski open again today and in the big air portion it shows pete merhoff doing a switch misty, then tanner does his switch rodeo. they look exactly the same. or are my eyes missing someting, does anyone know?

'ooooo thats what I like'

'what? you like to suck beer bottles'- hot striper to my buddy after she pulled his bottle out of her mouth.

a switch misty and switch rodeo looks totally different. so prob they said mehroffs misty was amisty when it was a rodeo. i dunno. but tanner hall probably didn´t do a switch misty.

what´s so funny about peace, love and understanding?

no, i'v seen that rodeo7 like a million times

They should look completely different. I'm gonna have to say hat if they looked the same, one of the tricks was mislabelled.

No No those dumbasses announced it as a different trick but it was a switch rodeo that they just called a switch misty i think it makes more sense that way cuz of which way switch fronts go

a switch misty (900) is actually a switch 180 to misty 720. that is exactly how it is thrown and thats how the judges score it. a switch rodeo is kinda thrown like a dinnerroll style thing cause it is smoother taking off. announcers usually have a hard time telling the slight difference so dont worry about it

yeah good catch mane i noticed that over last summer when i kept watching ski tapes over and over again, they messed that one up. I think Jaquet sometimes wishes to think that Tanner Hall is God and only he can do Switch Rodeo 7's. Turpin's another one throwin them down now with safety's.

Head injuries suck!

well pretty much everyone throws them now.

and a switch misty 9 isn´t a 180 to misty 7.

jon olsson starts the flipping motion at the same time as the rotation.

what´s so funny about peace, love and understanding?

Last summer, and therefor in Propaganda, Jon was splitting the 180 and the misty portion of the trick, but these days - watch the Open or X-games - he is definitely combining the whole trick. It is really nice when he does it on big jumps.

fakiedropdude, the switch misty 9 is really a switch 180 to misty 7. thats just the best way to describe it.

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?

look at the direction the head goes off the start. if it goes back towards the jump and too the right, then it is a rodeo - either switch or regular. if the head goes forwards and to the left - switch or regular, then it is a misty.

there are a lot of exceptions to this, but that is the general rule.

ductapeboy got it right.

and olssons mistys are not 180 to mistys.

and even if they were a switch misty shouldn´t be. think about the same way you think about a rodeo and you will see that it´s a flipppy spinny motion from the start.

what´s so funny about peace, love and understanding?

no dirty, some people do care, i see what you're saying, but i think it'd be cool to rid of this unnecessary confusion

bio-off axis spinning, between normal and flat

cork-off axis spinning, between flat & invert

flat spin- going backoff the jump, then spinning a little past bio (flat)

lincoln look- a barrelroll with a 180 in it

unerflip-barrel roll behind your leg

barrle roll (lol) - sideways flip (in front of your leg i guess?)

that is the questions answered in my opinon

we should keep it simple....i hate all the new names...you never even know what trick you are doing

--To Be A Jibber You've Got To Be So Fresh, To Have Style And Finesse Way Above The Rest--

i hate how tanners switch 7s were being called rodeos, he doesnt even some close to being inverted or corked on a couple of the jumps, and in freeze, they said hes doing a cork 720, helli guess i can do cork 7s now, according to freeze...

for the last freaking time... FLIPPY... SPINNY... TRICK
