Thermal wear

On all the edits Ive been watching, a load of riders opt for big bagggy t shirts normally with a black long sleave something under neath,

Sorry this is such a stupid question but what is it that you all wear underneath for warmth?

Cheers

i wear ems techwick long underwear or under armour cold gear when it's really cold. you gotta wear some form of moisture wicking thermal, cotton is the worst thing you can wear.

9 days out of ten I just wear a thermal long serve under my jacket. Very comfortable, cheap, and warm. Blah, blah, blah moisture wicking, blah, blah, blah. Unless you don't know how to hike without sweating your balls off or like to shove snow down you jacket, cotton is fine. And I wear this in Colorado, where hikes take more than 7 minutes and it gets cold outside.

if i anticipate some hiking ill wear hh lifa and a thin fleece with a thicker one in my pack. if not ill wear a t shirt and a fleece.

if u wanna spend the money, theres this stuff called x-bionic. its probably the best you can buy. If not, like myself, go for the airblaster ninja suit

I swear by my Helly Lifa dry, I use it all year round.

Even skinning up with Donner Partys and a full pack for 4+ hours in temps above freezing it keeps my dry and comfortable.

Likewise in -20C I just pile another on top, and I'm fine with just a hoodie and jacket on top.

This.

I wear only wool under my jacket almost every day i'm skiing. Only when it's extremely cold, like under -20 C, i wear something other than that.

And yes, it keeps you warm when your wet. I even wear wool under my wetsuit when it's below 10 degrees in the water, and it works great.

icebreaker. Check it. Merino made in NZ.

Also have a HH thermal i wear if it's not super cold.
