They say that they are helping out artists get their much deserved money. I tried downloading no woman no cry by the late bob marley, and they fucked it up. Not only is this an atroscity to the music, its an atroscity to the message bob marley was trying to give us. How the bloody hell is denying our right to here this damaging this artist? HE'S DEAD, and unless i see a video giving money on marleys grave, or to charity, then i will get a few of my friends in law school together, and i also know some profs, and lawyers, and just sue the living shit out of the RIAA for multiple reasons,

1. invasion of privacy,

2. in canada breach of contract,

3. fraud consideration, and

4. immoral and unlawful serving and lawsuits.

if i can convince enough people to do it pro bono, then i will definately try to follow through with it.

It probably goes to his son Ziggy Marley, or other family members. Just because he's dead doesn't mean his CD's can be free. He didn't make them all by hand. The record company did that. And as much as you might not like them, they do actually make the music.

yeah fuck the riaa i did some reaserch on them, and the average artist makes 45g for every 11bil the riaa gets off of them. it makes it nearly immpossible for new artists to break into the feild, they keep it like that so fucking britney and justin timberlake make all the dough for them, and stay popular FUCK THE RIAA

 
ups is the devil... the brown devil. basically just overcharging, slow shipping, brokerage fees up the wazoo. (they are there own broker). customer service is on/off. depending on who your talking to. bassically they cause trouble for shippers. they have caused me nothing by grief. i would be alot better off if they didnt exist. i dont feel like getting into it because it would take me several pages to express my rage. and how can you think brown is pretty? brown is the ugliest color ever. even uglier then pastal green

hrm it seems like you definatly have your reasons for not liking ups. i have never had problems with them myself...so i still like them. lol. and brown is sooo not ugly...its beautiful. but pastel green...i agree with you on that one..its gross.

on a music note..i see nothing wrong with downloading stuff

Cap has a point, but you have to realize how the RIAA is marketing themselves. They try to stop illegal downloading by saying it's stealing from the artists, where the exact opposite is true.

The artists make very little for each record they put out, most of the money goes to the record label. Artists make most of their money from concerts and live shows. If you let people download this music, the music will spread, and possibly leading them towards a live show. This in turn would be profit for the artist. The RIAA however, loses money from all of this.

The result is could end up in the label going bankrupt (if we download enough), and if the label goes bankrupt, there's no music.

So consider both sides from now on.
