so after about a month of pretty hard riding my 1080's blew up. doing a 5 over about a 65'er up at batchelor and not even casing just coming down the tip slaps and the top sheat pops. so they delamed from the tip about 5' back, hopefully they'll give me next years model cause I believe they're out at this point. but I'm way dissapointed brand new skis shouldn't do that and I've never before had a problem with any solomons

 
starters its salomon not solomon, and that happened to me last year, they delaminated on me after 7 uses i took them back and they glued them, and sent them back and within 3 times i delaminated them again, i sent them back and asked for a new pair. they sent them my way and i used them twice and sold them, and not buying salomon again. EVER!

buy heads...i have never had a problem with them in over 5 years riding for them. they are virtually indestructable

my friends 1080s delamed... every pair of 1080s i have ever owned delamed... i think peter O broke 13 pairs of Salomons last season...

1080 is a sick ski I've been on mine for 5 years with no problems. I just got a new pair because I got too many core shots from skiing trees.

here we go. another thread of bashing salomon. if you are that hard of a rider, get armadas or 4 fronts or ya know something that you can wear the shit out of. i think 1080's are becoming more of an allperson rounded ski. old people ride them which is ridiculous. ridiculous!!!
