Theft of many K2 Skis

I heard this morning through work that over 60 pairs were stolen from the reps storage unit. They are all 09 skis I believe with bindings. Keep your eye out.
 
Aaaaand I should've looked in the regional forums before I posted here.... That's what I get for not being able to post while at work. Here is more detailed info from BDA10889's post in the utah forum....

Some dumbass is obviously going to get himself caught trying to sell these on Ebay without realizing the skis arent even available to the public yet.
 
does anyone know definitively how far in advance skis are made? I mean it seems like they would probly have to get started kind of early so they have a shitload of 09's in time for 09.. but i have no idea.
 
they may not even be the final product, they need to develeop the 09 skis very early for testing for team riders etc. in order to then start mass producing early enough to cater for supply
 
in an online description of the hellbents, they said they were two years in the making for testing and the like...so who knows what could be out there for 09 skis
 
we all saw the drama of when someone's ANT's got jacked and got posted on TGR and NS, this is a bit more high profile...i really hope someone isn't that dumb, however it would be funny as hell

Yeah, or unless you have the internet or a ski shop nearby. Many shops have them and pics have been up all over the web since January. Good luck getting teh shit back, that sucks for sure.
 
ya last year i saw a pair of this years maidens with reverse camber, it was crazy. not till this year and i saw that the maidens dont have reverse camber that i realized. they werent hellbents but they were def reverse camber

from what i've heard, and this is only what i've HEARD, the entire 08-09 factory line is rockered. Seths, PE's, everything......
 
that's a crazy amount of skis to steal, damn. that must have been planned and shit so i doubt they would sell em right away, but you never know.

so are these 07-08's? The one's that were at this year's SIA? You said 09's, so I'm confused.
 
Wow, this guy is going to make lots of money if he manages to not get caught and to sell them.
 
considering I heard it this morning from one of my bosses. I work commercial concrete, we were talking about skiing this last season and he told me, not to mention hearing it from other people, places... not bs. jackass.
 
They must have had like a fucking Uhaul or something... maybe a pickup truck and multiple trips, I don't think it's possible to fit 62 twins in a F-150 or something...
 
seriously, use your heads. in order to steal 62 pairs of skis there was definetly planning involved. seriously, i dont think anyone will see them. the robbers arnt idiots, if they can jack 62 pairs and get away with it, they can find seperate sellers willing to pay and keep their mouth shut. for all we know, they might even export them to the buyers if they live elsewhere. i dont know much about crime, but i have stole and i can say that if your guna go big, u gotta know what ur doing and forsee the problems and be sure to get around em.
 
yeah, that's what I was thinking. this isn't like some dumb ass who grabs a few skis off the rack and speeds off in their car. it sounds like someone who knows what's going on, like where the skis are at a certain time, and what skis they're getting/ who they're selling it to and when. if suddenly a sale for a ton of new K2's pops up on ebay then we've given them too much credit, they're idiots.
