seriously..today somebody even stole my brand new shoes.who the hell would go down to that level fucking assholes.if i saw this fucker with my shoes i was gonna wreck him plane and simple hes lucky he got away..something needs to be done about this problem soon..its total bullshit..lodges should be chill and not have to worry about people steal ur skis and shit..so my message to anyone reading this that has stole something from a mountain GO FUCK YOURSELF

i left my backpack with my 400 dollar camera and spare pipe gloves in it on a table all day checking on it every 4 hrs (twice) and it never got stolen, im thinking it just your hill

yeah it sucks my sis got her goggles stolen last yr and it pissed her off for a while. Have u ever wondered what their parents think...hey mom look at my new goggles, seriously wat do they think

^no not really cause it wasent my hill..i never go to this mountain and i just went up for the night cause my little brother has ski club there and i got in for 12 bucks cause i said i was with the school..like if i had the perfect opertunity to steal a 500$ video camera i wouldnt cause its just fucked up..and stealing skis is another story

thats what i was thinking about my shoes..some kid comes home with a brand new pair of es's only worn twice..my parents would def know i stole them...fucking scumbags in this world..at least im not paying for a new pair

the mountain i go to has a lot of people like that, its normal to get reports of people getting their snowboards/skis stolen at least like 20 times a day

yeah well some parents dont give a fuck about their kids and dont keep tabs on them. doesnt surprise me their kids are thieves considering their upbringing

i used my line 1660s for almost 1 day, stolen

i used my oakley goggles for 3 days, stolen

i used my dakine backpack with my lunch in it for 1 week, stolen.

idk bout any1 else, but i lock my skis-a 15 dollr lock can save a 300$ pair of skis-a good investment-my dads friend has had 2 pairs of skis swiped from him...

yup, i lock mine too. if you go by retail, my stls are worth like 800+ with bindings, and theyve only been ridden like twice. not into having that stolen.

I left my seth vicous's out on a ski rack by the american flyer for 2 days. i actually drove from copper to denver and back leaving my skis there and they did not get touched. maybe because it was during the week but still no one touched em.

Seems like some kind of epidemic on the east coast. Practically everyone who posted was from out east. I've never had problems in Colorado and I don't know anybody who has.

everywhere elts it sorta makes sense... but at mountains and shit it doesnt make sense at all because i always thought that mountains were kinda more chill than the actual town ? ya know ?

once some kid stole my sisters skis, I hunted him down harrased him for a couple hours and finally told his mom (I was 10 at the time)

it wasnt that she allowed her son to steal just she was a bad parent and didnt notice when her son came home with skis

When i read your post i read it fast and i thought you said " if i see this kid wih my shoes im gonna wreck his plane" and i was like, oh fuck this dudes gonna wreck this guys plane someone better alert the the proprer authorites! but i read it again and i was dissipointed.. FUCK YOU.

all i have to say for that topic is that so much people forget their poles at the end of the day on the lodges because they are completely drunk. hilarious, so i get good poles twice a year.

and just to say it: on my mtn are 20.000 people almost every day, and i havent the possibility to find the owner of those, so i take em before the lift workers take them with them. but i would never take skis or sthing that is worth more than 30$ even if the owner was dead or drunk like a russian tollkeeper.

the local police department main tasks are drug related cases and ski thefts, def. outta control.

people are even starting to put effort and planning into stealing stuff too..my friend was at killington a couple weeks ago and he had to run inside to get something so he had his mom stand by his board..his mom looked away from it for 5 soconds and when she looked back it was gone..luckly for him his dads friend works for burton so he got another 1 for free but i mean who ever did that must have been planning it for a while

yeah man thats wut i do....who wouldnt do that??? and if u dont have a lock then jus bring them inside w/ u...if sumone says ne thing to u tel them that ur gunna keep them w/ u unless they want to watch them for you

yeah im scared to leave anything unlocked and i always put my skis in the corral....ive never gotten anything stolen but all my friends have

in december we were in a tiny condo and left our stuff on the balcony for 5 nights is a row, and on new years eve 2 boards got stolen, one which was 1 week old. Fucking sucks, my skis were there too but probably too heavy because they climbed up from another balcony, so got lucky... And stuff gets stolen on the west coast too, dakine backpack with hoodie walkie talkies and stuff in it, 200 bucks worth of stuff, at the roundhouse in whistler...

i absolutley 100% despise theives, but i got my second pair of skis the other day so now im always bringing a combination lock and they will not get stolen now, at least if they tried too it would take them a very long time, but if a thief was walking around looking for skis to steal and he saw a pair locked up in tons of steel braided rope then he would more than likely leave them alone

brand new Burton went walking....i only went to get a hot chocolate!!!! expensive cup of cocoa! and i gave up snowboarding and went back to my skiis

or you could leave them unlocked and really obvious and have a group of like 6 huge guys watching it with walkie talkies, so when you see them start to be stolen, just freakin kill the kid

i always lock mine up, though i would love to catch someone stealing them. My mountain has video cameras on the ski racks. Also, memmorize or write down your serial number on your skis, it's the only way to get them back if they're stolen, though rather unlikely.

my dad and my uncle got their boards stolen at Loon Mtn NH and Waterville ON THE SAME DAY..both boards were like $800 each..sucks

anybody know where i can get a lock, im goin up to killington, okemo, and mount snow on a school ski trip and i just wanna make sure nuthin happens so i wanna get a lock

My mountain has a ski and board check right next to the rentals so you can just check your skis wen you go eat or do whatever, they give you a tag to get your skis back and your all set. Theres also lockers at my mountain that I lock my stuff in.
