The Zero Spin Hype

Zero Spins are hard as shit. your body always wants to pull out of them then ur just doing a switch 180. then you wont fall but you wont do the zero spin. Get It?

zero's are so sick. andy mahre's over pyramid was awesome. they are hard, but i think that their difficulty is blown out of proportion

yea spongs got it, asians are pre made with the ability to do steezy zero spins, whites arent as naturally gifted, but they can learn... and arabs, well they just cant do steezy zeros, sorry bin cosco...

A zero over an 80 footer is waaay sicker than any spin.

And while we're on things the ski industry should recognize, lets talk about how Airblasters are gay in snowboarding, let alone skiing.

I HATE IT. some kid like won a contest here with a zero spin, and other people were throwin down. its so easy. Just tell yourself "Ok, don't spin". and it works. Sure when they are done with style over Pyramid, and off huge hits they're movie worthy, but i don't think its a good contest trick.

IM SO GLAD YOU BROUGHT THIS TO OUR ATTENTION THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ENLIGHTENING THREAD, WE SHOULD DEAM WHICH TRICKS ARE COOL AND WHICH ARENT AND THEN JUMP ACCORDINGLY.

I think we should give this guy a column so he can write down all of this material, it is literary gold and must be preserved among the great halls of newschoolers!

first of all i never said anything about them being cool, is aid that there difficulty is overrated, and i wanted to see others opinions

second of all, shut the fuck up. that post was far more pointless then this whole thread, let alone a bad attempt at humour

Is this zero spin okay?

Il never stop doing zero's, no mather how over hyped people think they are.. i love them, and i hate that there is so few people doing them!

but il agree, not hard to do, hard to steeze.. and alot of funky grabs make it harder, double nose, mute, shifty, spread eagle, split etc

that would be cool.

ive only done them on the smallest jumps ever, but i dont feel like they would be that hard on a bigger jump

i think, that i dont care... just let people do whatever they want and if you think its sweet, then tell them its sweet...

zeros are a fun trick, ur right, theyre not as hard as people make them seem, but its hard to get them steezy, but once u do, dope trick

i figure zeros are like back 180s on snowboards pretty easy but kinda hard over massive jumps(and look dope) or into powder look dope!

yeah in the BC (from personal experience) they are sooo fun to land in powder and see your tracks in the powder.

i just think they are fun to throw and if i want to hit a different jump in a rhythm but i dont want to do anything off the first one ill throw one down

I like the feeling, and really, that is all that matters. However, difficulty wise, they are pretty easy, as evidenced by my ability to do them.

not difficult? not if its in the park...............but, see how we do(this fall), then say they are easy....

I think they are def commitment. I took a zero 0ver an 85/90 table this year, It was a little sketch. BUT to do a sick grab in a zero I think is def hard. Ive been trying to get double tip, Only to find that Cobly west has been doing double tip zeros, SHIT!

guys lay off the hate towards cosco, it was just a personal opnion no need to be douchebags about it, and andy i cant fucking wait! WEEE HOOO!

its straight up scary to sit still in the air backwards...i dont think they are known for being as hard as they are known for being scary.

whats hard about zero spins isnt doin them, its making em look nice which is really hard to do. a flail no grab zero spin isnt that hard but a zero spin like west or fujas does is

cosco, you're a fuckin soft ass mothafucka, you mark ass trick. You sucked balls at the masters...you looked like you havent skiied in three weeks. All of ninthward was soft. You should have had a giant downey bear hanging from your tower.

If you really think a trick is "overrated" because it's not as difficult as others, why aren't you doing ski ballet moves onto rails? I bet that'd be pretty fucking tough. It'd look ridiculous, but it'd be hard!

The point here is of course that how hard you personally find trick X doesn't matter. How it looks is what matters. Zeros can be made to look incredibly styled and smooth. As a result, they are often better than more difficult tricks that simply don't look as good... say, if you hucked a 1620 and landed in a caribou stance or something.

Ironically, the only person who is allowed to win comps with ski ballet moves, one footers to spread eagle offs, penciled switch spraffys and so forth is the same guy you just shit talked. Tom, you are and always will be the wind beneath my wings.

rory bushfield's zero off that cliff in hitlist was doope. def. in a tie with andy mahre's zero over pyramid. not as gnar, but more steezy.

Yeah rory 0' was sickest cliff drop ever. Steezy 0spins are really hard but looks soo goood. A big air comp is a show.. A huge 0spin has def his place in it!

word bra. ive been working on a frontflip and a backflip at tha same time, its pretty tough. People just make fun of me whenever i try tho

Ask Charles Gagnier... Charlie Chaplin? Skis' noses pointing in opposite directions.

Guys I've heard wiggers across the country use the term "mark" or "mark ass bitch" or something like that.

What the fuck does that MEAN?

zeros are aight when you go huge. as long as you can do other shit too and arnt just doing a trick that is going to make you look baddass even tho you can do shit.
