msnbc says that among voters 18-29, only 17 per cent showed up to vote. the exact number that showed to vote in 2000. good work all you guys!

^^If you'd like to talk about the uneducated vote, you might first want to take a look at the general voting practices of educated people... if it was just up to college graduates, this election would be Kerry's.

Old people often vote democrat ... i.e. medicare and social security issues. Money is more important to them than ideals.

yeah, I was agreeing with the people for voting for their betterment. I vote based mostly based on wanting less taxes. Poor people vote democrat for more aide. Some democrats like the hippies (doesn't exactly mean to me what it might to everyone else, just an umbrella term) or college students, don't have to worry about money ... so they vote based on idealism. Which is I guess noble, but definitely doesnt appeal to me personally,

Which is an interesting position, I guess, that I can't say I agree with... I think leaders should be doing what's right, rather than what fills certain peoples' wallets. But at least you admit that it's your position, I just don't see how you can completely discount everything but money. I'm guessing you're pretty annoyed that you have to put up with Bush as a GOP candidate, then? There are certainly better fiscal conservatives....

 
true, one of the few things I've liked about him has been his reinvigoration of the space program ... although I'm still waiting to see the repercussions. That's a biggy for me since that's the field I'm going into here shortly. But I may have come acrossed as a little shallow in the money part. Of course I want whats is going to be best for my situation and that of my family fiscally, but I also do agree with some of the moral issues that the GOP stands for. although I am an avid atheist, I feel that some of the core morals they have do align with my own, perhaps I'm just not as radical. I've seen sights claiming porn is the path to satan, guess I'm going to hell lol. fiscally I'm conservative, morally I'm probably more of a moderate. For me, its what has the gretaer and more obvious affect on my life.
