The year 2012 global?

Always wondered this.. along w how the chinese use a keyboard/computer when they have so many letters in their alphabet. Is the year 2012 global? B.C means Before Christ but not all religions believe in christ. Anyone help me out hur?

B.C. Was changed from Before Christ some time ago. Its slipping my mind what it is now but its something in Latin.

Countries with different alphabets have different keyboards often with shift or alt keys that allow them to use the same key for many different symbols.

Many cultures and nations use different denominations of time but since the Western Calendar is the accepted business standard the world coordinates based off that for much the same reason English is the international language of business, its just easier.
