The wors't you ever hurt someone else on the hill

Last year there was a fun banana jump off the side of a trail. You couldn't see the landing from the top of the hill so I saw a guy go over the hill and I waited a good 90 seconds because I figured he would be gone. I go into the jump full speed and I am in the air and see this fucker, He fell in the wrong spot and had been sitting there for at least a minute and a half. My skis both come off and I run up the hill trying to tell my friends to stop. I was too late for one guy and he fell on the guy who fell and then my snowboarder friend saw me and he cut really hard off the jump and flew sideways to miss the guy.

I helped the guy up and got his skis for him and then he ran and told ski patrol that I hit him.

Opening day up whistler this year i launched off a roller and just as i took off some boarder cut me off. My skis smoked him in the side of the head and i actually landed. He was out cold eventually got up to get yelled at by some ski patrol (yea im surprised they didnt get mad at me). So pretty much tree tapped a guys head and then he had to appoligize to getting knocked out.

haha I just remembered another one. I was skiing pretty fast (if anyone knows sunshine I went straight from continental to the last pitch before the park, i dunno how fast you go on that straight line but its decent) anyways my friend was standing kind of on the last pitch facing away and I wanted to to like let him know I was there, so I meant to just tap him in the back of the boot with my pole. Well first off I was ripping so my pole tap would be more like a hard swing, not to mention i swung decently hard, and to top it off I missed his boot and hit him in the back of the knee.
needless to say he was not impressed, actually in tears when he made it to the park lol, he hit me so hard with his pole that it bent around me.

retarded entrance to our park looked kinda like this: _-_ the lines representing fences and i came in from the left and he came in from the right and we got a head-on collision. not too gnarly but i felt like shit cuz id ran into one of the hills best freeskiers so i became emo.

i helmet tapped a kid once and he tried to catch up to me and purposely cut me off right before i hit a jump so i tackled him in mid air and we both wiped but the fatass was a good cushion for me. when i got up he was still down and i helped him up. he was a little pissed then we both started laughing and we skiied together a little and i showed him some stuff (like where not to freaking stand on the bottom of a jump)

i whacked a kid in the back of the legs with my ski pole once, i was riding switch on a long flat kinda trail and i drifted (all my fault) to my left right into a guy. uhhh i have had a few run-ins with snowboarders being d-bags and sitting at the bottom of a drop off so when you launch off it and you finally come over the crest its too late to move out of the way, so you land like right on them or about 5'' away from them. i have had a lot more of these experiences then i would like to have.

this wasnt me, but it was something awesome i witnessed.

last season waiting in the lift line for the park lift at bristol, this little girl who could not stop, no pizza, no falling, no anything, was hauling ass right at the liftline, while this mom and her kid on a leash were standing on the outside of the line just waiting to get on the lift, the little girl who couldnt stop just flys through all the people in the line, somehow missing all the ropes and poles and people and everything, and just fucking slams into the little leash girl, the leash goes aallll the way out, and then just abruptly stops them both, and pulls the mom down with them. everyone involved was totally fucked up.

once at a halfpipe competition at peak'n'peak, this kid unstrapped at the top of the pipe and was walking around waiting for his run, when sudenly his board gets flipped over, and starts hauling down the bottom of the pipe, straight at the judges stand (for dramatic effect) the this other snowboarder derek standing way up the run sees the board going down the pipe, and just beelines for it. derek chased the board the whole length of the pipe, standing really lown and forward with arms out trying to grab the board, and then at the very bottom right before the judges stand he tackles it, disapears into a massive cloud of snow, and then when the snow settled he was just standing there holding the board over his head.

everyone cheered.

One time when i was a Jiminy when I was like 12, me and my friend were waiting for my sister halfway down one of the hills and right as I turn to go down the hill i get nailed by some asshole out of control on his snowblades. I soared like 50 feet down the hill. Kid was fucking flying too and like twice the size of me.

I jsut remembered another one from like 2 seasons ago. I was heading in for the night so I cut through this maintenance trail that cuts right under the lift where people come down to get on from the other direction. I was cruising down and saw these snowboarders coming so I stayed to the side, but one of them came right at me and I couldn't get out of the way. I'm pretty sure my left foot went in between his legs but my ski didn't come off. He ate shit hard and was sooooo pissed. Thank god i didn't loose my ski because he would have beaten the shit out of me.

i hurt everyone in southern vermont emotionally when i snake the shit out of them on a regular basis

a buddy of mine, a boarder, is about 6'3" 330lb's but pretty athletic. he bombs down the hill just by leaning forward. anyway, a bunch of us are flying down the mountain and there is a dad with his little girl on between his legs. no big deal we all start to go around them. all of a sudden she breaks free from him right in front of the big guys path. instead of hitting her, he picks her up with one arm while doing about 30 mph rides for about 100' and then just plops her down. her father was speechless.

some boarder poached my line last year as i was dropping in, i started yelling at him, skied off, he followed me, got to the top of the hill, he pushed me while i was talking to my buddies, he took off, i chased after him wide open, pushed him into a lift support thing, punched him in the stomach, i had my racing poles with the hand gaurds, and never had a problem again

in Tremblant while hiking the first jump in the northside park one of my friends was on the lift just going over my head and started banging his skis together to drop snow on me. i dodged out the way anyway and turned around and there was a ski on the floor where i had been standing.

this has nothing to do withe thread title but its an instance where things could have been baaaaaaaaaaad

that happened to me last year, i felt bad.

a snow boarder tried to snake my line and being the stubborn ass hole that i am i raced him to the lip, needless to say i over shot the hell out of the landing by like ten feet. he made it perfectly so i was kind of pissed

I've had plenty of close calls, including a 360 tail grab over a gaper grom at Killington, but some of you have done some effed up stuff.

then I remembered when I saw a guy go off a 60-70 cliff and went straight under the snow. got dug out pretty quick, but didn't make it (hit a rock 8ft under dry pow; burst lungs and brain hemorrhaging). that was fucked up. it was in front of about 40 people watching. then a couple days later I drove the tram with the guys wife for the service at the top of the mountain. RIP NEWT

My threads, this is hilarious, resorts are dangerous places I guess.

But yeah back in the day we were trying to film doubles jumps, and stupid me carved into the lip and we collided in mid-air. We got tangled up and both knuckled together, I was fine but my friend Marc broke his binding and had a huge gash on his forearm.

i was sittin at the top of the park as some boarder snakes everyone and runs over my skis and calls me a bitch. so i followed behind him and after the first jump i layed him out and called him a bitch..i actually felt pretty bad afterwards cuz i reeeealllly layed him out

I skied over the very back end of some guy's non twin tip skis and he just flat out fell pretty hard. Don't really know why though, I barely touched him.

Some boarder at A basin hit my uncle and broke his shoulder really badly and it took forever to heal. Guess that's the last time he goes skiing.

I was hauling ass onto a cat path cause it was sort of an uphill traverse, but you had to go around this blind corner at like mach 10, anyways, there happened to be some lady/gaper standing on the path in the worst possible spot and i tried to dodge her but was going way too fast so i took plan b and tried to go off the cat path instead but it turned more into a dive to the side with my legs taking her out at the ankles, she did a complete back flip, i shot off the cat path in a double eject. My friends said it was so gnarl y. I wasn't hurt but she got pissed/whacked dome and her husband/raging dick was yelling so much at me. All i said was why the fuck would you stand right there of all places to stand.

unrelated to thread but, a 50lb chunk of ice from a chairlift landed on the back of my friends skis. (the chair had been gettin hit by the snow gun all day). they were rental skis anyway

not really bad, but last year i was trying to persuade my friend to go off a medium sized kicker. finally i did. he leaned back to much. fortunately he didn't get too hurt, just a couple of bruises here and there, but he was pissed off at me for a while

and actually, this happened to me:

i was going "pretty fast" near the bottom of the slope so this ski patrol at the end tells me to slow down. me, listening to my music and enjoying skiing, didn't hear him. so when i'm about to pass him, he tries to stop me by first going in front of me, so i was going to stop/slow down, but he didn't think so. u know how he tries to stop me? he sticks out his foot...so tripped, rolled abunch, somehow twisted my ankle along the way too

my lil brother got hit by some kid, the kid flips out and goes to fight him. My lil brother is about 11-12 at the time, not his fault at all, and this like 14 year old kid goes after him. My lil brother somehow kicks the kid in the head with his ski boot, other kid falls over and my brother gets his shit back on and bounces. I was pretty stoked haha.

i usually just hurt myself. I think i broke someones pole once but i always narrowly avoid collisions like that.

Last season I did this mess around double shifty 180, landed and about 2 feet behind me was this little snowboarder cutting across the landing... I basically hip checked him with my tail bone and we both tumbled. I helped him up and such, he was perfectly fine, but for some reason the way I hit him made my tailbone crack... That was a bitch to deal with. Other than that nothing has really happened with me hitting anyone...

hahaahah i came off a banked c box and some dude was like bombing the park and just decked me. he was like " wtf man! my gear better not be messed up"

I did a 180 in a train, of 5 people, i was last. First guy fell as he was getting up i crashed right into him switch, broke his binding. he said he was ok but he wasnt.

this wasnt me but i saw snowboarder huck a 1080 of a jump and some little kid skiied into the landing and the board whipped into the kid and he broke his collarbonw his nose and his jaw and was bleeding baad

I was outside the chalet waiting for my buddies and i live about 1 hour away for toronto so on the weekend busses and busses of asains come to gaper the hills but anyways i was spping my pole around my hand with the strap realy fast. Not looking behind me i didnt see the mother of an asain family and she didnt see me eitcher next thing i know i looked back and i clubbed the asian in the stomach and the dad started yelling at me but i didnt have an idea what the hell he was saying so acting like nothing happend i skied away and got on the chair.

Was standing in the middle of a run helping a gaper put on his skis after he fell when I got decked by some 10 year old kid straightlining the run. This kid probably weighed about 100 lbs or less but still took my off by feet and threw me back like 5 feet. Neither of us were hurt but i was pretty pissed off

some guy cut me off switching trails and there was a pretty hard collission. i asked if he was ok cause he looked old and he said" u better hope so"

i was skiing a bunny trail around the backside of my hill and this one gaper was harassing me and being like "Ohh youre so cool in your tall jersey you think youre gangster wahhhh!"

I promptly reverted and cut him off switch and gave him a stern look as he caught his edge and died.

HAHAHHA OMG

I KEEP WATCHING THE SWITCH 7 Helmet tap video

Thee Crotch Killer video is awesome.

I have watched both clips about 50 times now.. never gets old hahaa

My worst experience was when I hit this snowboarder on a high speed cat track and knocked him off, i felt bad since i should not go as fast but he shouldnt also be swerving around so much on a such a narrow track. I knocked him into the woods in some pow. Helped him up, we both laughed it off it was great.

actually. I change my mind.

I was bombing a hill and at the bottom where it gets flat i started making nice huge turns and some lady collided with me and i felt really bad. She was really old and took a pretty big tumble. Like she decked me HARD, to the point where I was really close to eating it myself.

But she was fat and started yelling at me and saying it was my fault but I was in front of her and had no idea she was there so she was responsible. So after that I felt pretty good.

I've seen a finger get severed in late spring. Girl wasn't wearin gloves, box was sketchy, fell, jammed finger between the plastic and the edge of box, finger cut off.

this thread is almost as funny as the "favorite gaper story thread"

i just remembered one. someone hit the lifty when he was trying to clear off a pile of snow in the way and the lifty started tumbling down the hill...i LOLED

Back when I was like 13 I was flying down a run at big bear and ran into a snowboarder. I was already pretty big at that point, and wearing a full mask. He got all aggressive like he was going to beat me up, then I took off my mask and he realized he was like 10 years older than me and felt like an asshole. haha
Last year I only ran into one person, another park skier at Mammoth. He stopped really suddenly in front of me and I accidentally tapped him at pretty low speed, no one even fell over. He threw his arms up and got all WHAT! about it, then I just laughed and said "your like 15 bro stop acting tough, sorry i hit you though my bad" and rode off.
