here we are the 23rd of december and its now 50 degrees out side and it poured like a summer rain storm this morning. i can recall some christmas's without snow but never 50 degrees and a shit load of rain

Our ski hill is closing because we have been getting so much rain and there's more on the way. None of the ski hills in my province will be open in a couple days. I'm frustrated, this is definatly an absolutely terrible winter.

yah god hates the east coast appearantly, or it could just be extreme global warming, either way im not happy, maybe we'll get lucky and the icebergs will melt and then their will be another ice age like in that movie that i cant remember, it had that guy, and it was really cold, and then there was the statue of liberty. ok yah im gonna stop rambling now

well, it wouldve been a good winter, had it actually been below the freezing point. we've had so much precipitation. but anyways, in montreal, we have been getting alot of snow, but it rained here for the first time in a while today. shitty deal

where abouts are you?? i am about an hour away from Ottawa Ontario and i have been getting rain all day they siad that if it did snow that it would be 20-30cm

yea this winter is a mess....farmers almanac preidcted a cold and snowy winter, but it was quite the contrary ...warm and rain in late december WTF?!?! you have to be serious atleast stay in the 30's so they cna blow snow...fake pow is better than no pow

this is such bullshit, im in vermont right now listening to rain pound so hard against the windows its defening, all the snow is gone and theres none in the forcast, this winter is fucking terrible and christmas break should suck

 
Okay so in Maryland we've gotten about 12 inches of rain in the past 24 hours. Two days ago mountains were talking about being 100% open by christmas, and now they are reclosing trails and the open ones have bare spots all over. Gay.

we got like 15-20cm over night and then the freezing rain started falling for the rest of the day. right now, there's like an icy crust on everything outside.

it's a good thing that i got out skiing at st.louis yesterday

you east coasters arent alone. oregon has its own little pocket where no snow has come. i hate it. but 7-10 inches on christmas day. but still this is horrendus for the cascades

im from buffalo and today sucked ass. rain and then sleet and then snow. It dropped from 50 to 20 in under an hour. were spose to get 3-5 in of snow tonite so its all good

You cant ignore global warming anymore.. it's almost christmas as we only have 40cm of snow here at my mtn! ive never seen the bunny hill so ugly.. its supposed to snow really hard, or rain really hard this weekend so it's gona be real scary. I'm gona cry if it rains.. the mtn wont even be slidable.. we will see.

bachelor has had a SOLID 50 inch base for the last 2 weeks, its been basically sunny and cold. The entire mountain was open today but still theres sketchy snow coverage here and there

okemo sucked, you honestly counldnt see anything, i wore my goggles on my head. we had a late night, so didnt get up until 1030 and started riding at 11. by 12 it was pouring, there were so many bare spots and i would not be suprised if 20 of the 70 trails open today will be closed tomorrow. we didnt even make it up to blind faith and the hits on noreaster were closed. tomorrow will be super icy after all this melt and quick freeze. it will be bulletproof.

 
I'm near north bay right now and we have so much fucking snow it's insane... we had 1 foot (I'm not exagerating) of powder today alone!! My dad had to take out the backhoe to do the snow!!

I just wish we had a hill near here...
