The Wire

prolly my favorite show of all time or close to it, i watched the last season every damn night religiously last year and ive honestly never watched a tv show like that, i need to buy all the dvds now

Lying sick in bed, feeling like death, and about to finally try and have a go with the legendary series known as The Wire.

Let's see if it's worth the hype.

just got through season 1 of 24 i have season 1 of the wire waiting for me, should i carry on with 24 for abit and then go onto the wire?

definatly one of the best shows ever. also check out treme, its by the same creators/ writters of the wire, and really good as well

First season through, looks like a keeper. What a cast. This is the shit most screenwriters dream of when it comes to realistic dialogue.

I can't fucking believe they kept this show on a time slot of 2:30 AM in Finland on a not-too-popular channel. All the way through.

All done. Have to say, amazing series, and McNulty, Omar, Bunk, Clay, Presbo... all went to my Top 50 characters ever.

Gonna be a hard time watching any new series with great interest now with comparisons to Sopranos, BB and this one...

wire for sure....ill run down 24 for you main charactor never dies after years of being shot at, islam/the people from the middle east are portrayed in a terriable lights, most importantly there arent any gay black guys who rob dealers with sawed off shotguns in their jacket,

The wire is the best show ever. Not just because it's interesting to watch but because it actually portrays reality. Each season focus' around a different aspect of society and it shows you why it's fucked. I'm so glad someone in hollywood had the balls to tell a real story on TV for once, don't even watch the news watch the wire if you want to know how society functions.

I've watched four episodes of Treme now, it's quality for sure, I like how the characters become more interconnected with every episode and Steve Zahn is fucking killing it as Davis, and John Goodman, even though he isn't listed in the credits for some reason, is playing a perfect pseudo-friendly-but-actually-really-irate father-in-law type character.

It's a bit harder to get into than The Wire due to the musical stylings and setting though, which I'm not that much into.
