wow. that's all i can say after watching this. after reading all the raves about how incredible it is - i think entertainment weekly called it one of the greatest achievments in television, ever - i thought i was well prepared, but it still blew me away. if you haven't seen any episodes, i highly suggest you get on this shit.
 
an incredibly well done and realistic show. i only have the 5th season left to watch and i blow through them since its so riveting
 
its such a fucking amazing show. ive seen every episode like 3 times i fucking love it. season 2 is a lil weak but still is sick. season 4 is by far my favorite its hilarious when they get that cop who broke teh lil kids fingers for stealin a car.
 
i feel season 2 is actually the best season because it made the show more then just another crime show about drugs
 


I have seen the whole thing 3 times, halfway through round four, I just need to purchase seasons four and five and I'm set. God damn I love it more every time.

A question to you: better than the sopranos?

my answer: as an overall body of work. fuck yes.
 
Just finished season 5, I was kind of disappointed in it but at the same time I wasn't because the first four seasons laid such a solid foundation, they basically could run anything as plot. God damn I will be thinking about the wire for a long time to come.
 
Undoubtedly better then The Sopranos. I know I'm bumping and old thead, but in my opinion, The Wire as an entire series is better than any movie or tv show ever produced. Hands down immaculate.
 
just finished the 3rd season and i can honestly say that there is no other show which even comes close to the accuracy and attention to detail that the wire contains. also im from 15 min outside of baltimore so i recognize some of the stuff they talk about which is cool
