A question to the editors of these edits except for two of those edits...

After watching a THEMED edit win last year, why did you choose to make another dime-a-dozen, slo-mo plagued piece of shit edit?

You idiots make skiing boring. Nice job.
 
Whoooaaa I don't know what all the hate is about but I thought all those edits were pretty fucking sick. They probably all look similar because they were shot in the same location with relatively the same budgets and very similarly distributed teams.

Eheath's was dope, I thought, as was home video, proho, epic fail, a-team... shit all of them were rad.

Stoked on this event, its definitely one of the coolest ones out there. Don't forget how much fun everyone had making these edits.

Bill Kelly's sw on blind2 out of the massive quad deserved an edit of its own

first shot in 9-5 blew my mind who was that?

and if i had a dollar for every time i saw a blind two to 270 on on that up rail to butter pad to down rail id be rich
 
they were all pretty fucking good, cant tell if i like epic fail or home movies the best. bravo all around.
 
All the edits had bangers and that's all that really matters so I can't complain (although I will).. And I liked the Xanax song in Proho.. But Reed's commentary was so corny it almost ruined the whole thing. The home movie edit was gratuitously hipster, it's 2013 and I want to watch high definition skiing.

Oh and 9-5 was way over-edited, there was barely a full trick in there.
 
Home movies was pretty good. Is there any way next year we could just use Snowboard Superpark after they are done? I think what ruins all these edits is that we have been seeing the same shit on the same big sunset shoot for the last 4 years, its becoming an MSP movie at this point. Every year, launch rail, quad kink, big sunset jump, some sort of quasi BC jump and the same folks. Move it to a different mountain, invite 2x the people and make way more features, then it won't be the same crap fest year after year.
 
agreed. could have been way sicker with that team, not the best editing. Home Movies is epic, great vibe, and it's way different than the others. Also diggin the first part of Epic-Fail with that black coffins song, daaamn
 
The airplane shots were really sick, never seen hood from that perspective, definitely gave that team an edge. All edits were well done
 
having been at hood while all these guys were there I can safely say that Luka Melloni has one of the best styles in the game right now.
 
Home Video's was awesome, same with Proho's. Those two were definitely my favorites, with the A-Teams by far being my least. Overall I found there was a bit too much slow mo, still awesome to watch as per usual with WCS
 
They were all sick edits. My favourite was actually the first one, went so well with the song.
 
What's more painful is seeing whackflips/early cork 7's in slow-mo as the banger shots followed by 30 kids writing, "OMG SICKEST DUB 7 EVERRR!" "WOW DUBZ 7!!!"
 
The only fail would be the people who weren't on Hood during that week. WCS makes such a fun park and everyone is the most stoked. Especially when it was sunny T-shirt skiing all week.
 
This. Its so dicey weather wise this time of year in Oregon. To get a full week of sunny, warm weather with a basically empty park and high speed lift with no lines is pretty un heard of. I really don't know why more people don't go.
 
They were all pretty sweet. Reed Lewis's rideaways are hilarious, reminds me of football players celebrating after a touchdown.

Vital though...wtf. Editing was great and all but literally every shot during the day was overexposed as FUCK and all their shots are completely oversaturated. At the level they're at, it has got to be intentional and I just don't understand, it looks terrible
