NOAA slapped this together. If your interested in the weather you might like it.
This definitely got my attention, "WELCOME NEWS WAS FOUND IN THE MOUNTAINS DURING THE YEAR. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MANY YEARS...THERE WERE NO AVALANCHE FATALITIES OR
REPORTED INJURIES. AVALANCHE SAFETY PROGRAMS MUST BE PAYING
DIVIDENDS."

I can't believe that nobody died last season in Washington from an avy. People were skiing on slopes right next to slopes that went massively an hour before, and skiing over the avy cracks that had maby an 8 inch gap from one side to the other and were 18 inches deep but hadn't gone yet, on 32 degree slopes(prime people triggered avy slope for people who didn't know). It was luck that nobody did, people can be so retarded..

It is, but it also depends on the day. Certain days would naturally have slides on 38 degree pitches and not on 32, which is where setting it off yourself would be easy. Really anything in the 30s is something to take into account and what I was calling "prime". Plus I just happened to know somewhere that's about 32 degrees where people were stupid very many times, and it did avalanche a few times from people, but luckily nobody died.
