The "We Know What We're Doing" ski

OKAY

i have a meeting with ken ragan this super duper physics prof at McGill tomorrow at 2.

what i need from you guys:

what kind of stuff do you want us to figure out?

figuring out corrrect velocity for a jump, all things considered, isn't too hard, and i think it could be pretty cool. it'd also be possible to find out how long an inrun was needed for an urban rail, or how far you'll travel off a cliff if you're going a certain speed...

these are just all ideas, does anyone have any other things they think could look really cool all written out?

also...people good at stuff...anybody want to give a try arranging all the stuff on ski templates?

merci

HELLS NO! but i was feeling lazy when i read your post and didnt feel like responding...how did the meeting go?

you pretty much nailed everything that needs to be figured out physics wise. i like all of that, jumps, distance off a cliff.... could you get anything about friction on rails?

one you post all the stuff, i'm sure everyone will try to have a go at using it in photoshop or whatever.

orrr, unless you just want whoevers interested to tell you.

cool cool cool

okay ... had meeting...it was short since we both had other places to be, but i gave him some media stuff (movie and mag) because he doesn't really know what he's helping me with. he's got a TA (Ph.D.) guy to help him - we're meeting again on thursday when he thinks he'll have some calculations done!

sooo - i think i'm going to copy out whatever he scribbles into nicer more legible scribbles in prettier colours, and that'll be what i post, probably on the weekend or monday.

hope that is fabbbbulous with everyone.

wait ok, so i get the idea of the ski, but which one ski would this be? there are 3 park sizes, 2 SBs, and 2 C-Notes... plus whatever we decide to add, what model will this graphic be on?
