Amazingly enough there are tons of sick edits with poles.

i honestly got used to it..i am back on the east coast this year though and i am not looking forward to slipping and sliding in icy lift lines..

the editing in the third was amazing as well.

and obviously that no poles run in the fourth is hot

im sure if a ski pole manufacturer saw that video they would just laugh their assess off due to the fact that you look like a snowblader/retard in them. im not hating on you in particular, just people who dont use poles.
 
well i am not saying that there is some huge conspiracy against no poles..

down way harder than most people with poles, and u dont even give us

credit with a single shot or mention. No poles is getting to be a

bigger and bigger part of this sport and u calling yourselves a

magazine trying to push the sport dont even help out the lil guys just

cause we dont use the “correct equipment”. Back to allen he goes up to

u and asks “why arent u taking pictures of no polers?” well at least u

were honest with your answer by saying “we here at freeskier dont

support no poles”. what a policy, deserting members of a sport u are

trying to promote and help flourish and u just abandon a portion of it.

Way to go, pat yourselves on the back u just lost all credibility in

the eyes of your subscibers. All i can say about this is: killer comp,

tons of fun, wish i could do it again next year, TERRIBLE COVERAGE."

I watched the first 2 vids, all of the tricks could be done with or without poles? you could make the arguement that handdrags would be next to impossible with poles but they're stil doable. So my question is why should they be scared, i didn't see enoh tricks that could only be done with no poles to convince me to boycott the pole industry.
 
First video was ugly, didn't watch any after that.

No poles is ugly in my opinion, i won't hate on people for doing it though.
 
Shit looks like ROLLER BLADING. If you want to be something else go do it but don't make skiing look so fucking gay. There is no difference in doing moves like that on boxes and not having poles than making out with a dude on rollerblades. ITS FUCKING GAY!!!!!
 
I don't think I have ever seen anyone hating on good edits of people with poles. That's not my point.

But you do get called out for no poles. Also there is definitely evidence of people being pressured to use poles at comps. I know what some of you might say.. "Just suck it up..What do you care what other people say?" Well you're right, you should do whatever you like. I am just pointing out that there is a real bias out there and its inconsistent with the idea of "freestyle". Unfortunately I think some of this is definitely related to money. Ski poles are not free... Although I can't imagine that they would lose that much money since most regular skiers and racers will still buy poles.

 
POLES are SKIING its part of it. Would be like skating with no wheels. I guess if your going to go slow and do dance moves down rails and not try to get after it you don't really need them. Point is if your a pussy you don't need poles but if your going to go ski like its supposed to be done you need poles
 
DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION doesn't require skis either. You can just fag off with your buddys in your living room while your mom makes snacks for you and all your little bitch friends and then you don't need to even go out side. Do that instead of the NO POLES thing and then you'll be onto some way new shit
 
I respect people with no poles, they are trying something new and different from the others. I for one just love my poles,

Im a poler but if im trying something im uncomfortable with I ditch them. I dont think it fair to say that no polers look bad or good, its all about how a specific person looks w/o them, if their holding their hands up like ricky bobby in an interview thats kinda stupid but if their all chill about it then its fine

yeah tell that to pep and andy, they are showing up pretty much everyone in the backcountry, easily, and they dont use poles, all while having more steeze than any pole using skier could ever hope.
imo skiing with no poles is the most pure form of skiing there is, the steeziest, the funnest, and overall the coolest.
