the idea of the union however is to combine the infastructures of 3 countries for the benefit of an elite few, meaning not the upper middle class, and more around the lines of CEOs in charge of transportation, oil, etc...This would be similar to the EU which is one of the contributing factors of the rise in violent nationalistic groups, racism, and anti semitic and islamic unrest. It will never happen. This has to go through congress and the people of all 3 nations. This will not help boarder security, because it will unrelate checkpoints that were ther before reducing the chances for authorities to inspect veichles and people. This will give the drug trade and other illegal acts more freely trade space. There won't be any boarders so there won't be any checkpoints. This is absoulte madness and will never be justified. If this were to initiate, there would be a civil war and more racism than in previous unions.
 
It would just be a more elaborate version of NAFTA. Think EU not United Countries of North America.

Funny how Martin was pushing that Harper wanted to "Turn Canada into the United States" then he goes and signes this agreement.
 
i can see it happeneing in like 100 years...but i can see postitives to that...i think it would be better if just US and Canada joined...no more difference in currency and all that bullshit...

you are way inorant if you think that. look at the numbers. excange rates and so on. the euro is going up, and the dollar is going down. many of the eastern oil nations are considering switching from the dollar to the euro for this reason, which will just drive the dollar down more, and the Euro up. stop being so full of yourself, and loose some confidance in the US, because the US is on its way down unless we put together some sort of union such as the thread starter has linked.

the real documents sya nothign about merging the countires or any shit, fuck. its baout wokring togetehr for a common goal...has any one ever heard of working as a team? it generally works alot better then going solo. thats what this is tlkaing about, wokring togetehr on projects so that things are easier and more effiecient...whats wrong with that? maybe it is a step clsoe to a North American Union, but it is definatly not that, and still super far away. I mena Europe isn't one fat countyr and they even have thier own united currency......i mena they work closly together but they are not one place...and it works good for them being a team.
