Colorado Mountain College: Leadville, Steamboat, Vail, Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Rifle...(etc)
There are so many. I go to the one in Leadville, CO. Majors are Ski area operations, ski area managment, business, outdoor recreational leadership.
It's so sick, we get to drive bulldozers and take yoga for credit. This semester I go to school 2 days a week and work at Vail full time as a park ranger. It's only $8,000 a year I think. My classes this semester (I'm in Ski area operations) are:
Terrain park operations Lab
Trail grooming operations Lab
Ski Patrol Lab
Snowmaking Lab
Yoga
Public Speaking
Last semester:
Math
English
Heavy Equipment operations Lab
Intro to ski area operations
Outdoor emergency care
(Lab means you're outside!)
I would seriously consider going to this school. If your not interested in Ski area ops, then take business. i ski full time, and we just set up our backyard terrain park, 30 yards from the dorms (down flat down box, flat bar, down rail, etc)
Some cons: only about 300 people go to the school, 100 live in the dorms. The female to male ratio is 1:6, and its in the middle of nowhere. So if you like small schools, with not too much going on around the school, this is your place....
It's a huge drug school though, on any given night 10% of the kids are tripping...lots of weed...the RAs smoke with you, and they're super cool!
It's 20 minutes from Copper, 45 from Vail, Breck and Keystone.
Message me for more info!
