Tanner Hall may be out for season

As gnarly as it is, everybody probably expected Tanner to be able to stomp cab 9s over Chad’s gap last week. What caught everyone by surprise was that on Saturday Tanner sustained the first injury of his career, and may be out for the season.

The final diagnosis is still preliminary, but according to Armada’s Hans Smith, Tanner has a hairline fracture in his left ankle and more substantial break on his right that will require surgery. Tanner was seeing an orthopedic surgeon today to figure out exactly what he needs to do to get back on snow. Hans told us they’re expecting an 8-10-week recovery time.

At the moment, information is still rough. As more details come in, we’ll pass ‘em along. And get well soon T!

i broke my ankle last year and i couldnt ski from march 2nd to this fall. it sucked

Hopefully everything heals up fine and he's back out killing the park and now it seem's like the BC isn't safe either. He's not my favorite skier but I wish him a speedy recovery.

I had a hairline fracture on my left ankle 3 years ago from jumping off a roof. Its painful to this day, even with 2 screws and a 3 inch plate in my leg. I had a 12 week recovery time before i could get back to jogging.

Skiing with it - I still rip, but it lingers in the back of my mind everytime im trying to stomp something or take a drop.

It's about time that Tanner wrecked himself though. I respect his as a great skier but he's the cockiest guy around and he almost cried when he lost at X, straight up too. Maybe this will bring him down to earth a lil bit

that really stinks. im suprised more skiers dont break their ankles tho. it seems like an incredibly easy thing to do if you land wrong.
