The truth on me building the X games courses.

JON on Crills account

Read some stuff on here and thoght I would clearafy a couple things.

1. I had nothing to do with the layout of the course, it was send to me in a Powerpoint in november as they do all the animations for TV then, so I had nothing to do with how many Boxes/rails/jumps are in the course.

2. I have helped the Snow Park technologies with some feedback, if I thought a jump did not have enough speed, if one was to poppy fo rits landing, and so on. But I have never been allowed to hold a shovel or a rake. (for fairness resons)

3. Building a course at buttermilk is hard, its got a pitch that is very difficult to build good jumps on, but I have tried to give input on the course to make it as good as possible for everyone, girls, snowboarderas and skiers.

4. The fact that I would have build a course that fits doubles really well could not be more wrong, I build steoupts or true tables, but here at X the last jump is a 15 stepdown witch is a doubleflippers nightmare but a switch spinners dream.

5. The big Air might look like a JOI jump that is good for doubles but once agian, I had nothing to do with it, I thought it was the snowmobile jumps when I arrived.

Now you know, have to go try to kill myself with a swich dub of a "perfect doble kicker" 15 stepdown jump now!

Later, vids from HP and SS practice will be up tonight or in the morning..

jon, you are the man for putting together the videoblog!

in terms of the x course.....every competitor from the JOI said it was the best jump they had hit, regardless if they were doing doubles. i am glad you are helping them fix things that had been issues for all competitors in the past.

Hell yeah Jon... what you are doing is benefiting everbody, not just the double flippers or what not.

Jons gonna stomp a sick run, thats all i know.

I think its dope you came on NS to just let everyone know whats up, good style. Plus props on the video blog that shits tight

First off, I appreciate that the pros are looking at NS and seeing what we think.

I always thought you were just there to make jumps perfect so that everybody could do whatever they want with the most style as possible, because I can see with how people looked at JOI last year and how you helped build the big booter at whistler for matchstick, that your jumps make it wayyyyyyy easier for somebody to throw down with steeze.

I would kill to ride a jump like that, everytime I see what went down on those jumps, the skiers looked amazingly comfortable in the air and when they land as opposed to when I see those same skiers on other jumps.

Would it be possible for you to run some kind of jump building clinic, where you could show other park builders how to create jumps like that??

Extremely good style and an extremely good sport about posting clarifications. Things are so much better when we hear it staright from the source. Thank you!

^just my opinion, but i dont think i flat 5 will win x-games, even if Jon has one of the sickest flat 5s in the game.

and thanks for telling us whats up jon! i am a little disappointed that there arent any rails this year, epspeacially after seeing you train so hard on the video blog, but if the jumps are mint im not gonna complain.

good luck man.

I think it's awesome that he took the time to sign on to NS, and type all this up just to let us know what's up. Sick.

The videoblogs are awesome Jon! Keep it up!

True, but if he throws like a 95.00 run or something, he could probably throw it at some point. The style in his flat-5 is the best out of anything I have ever seen in skiing, so the tech won't be high but he will get 10/10 for style.

Thanks for coming on here and clarifying stuff for us. It's great that you're taking the time to do that for everyone.

Keep the video blogs coming, they're the highlight of my day!

and good luck at X man!

nice jon, you dont have to answer to anyone on here man about building jumps but thats my opinion i guess!

good luck, know you're gonna slay it!

The great thing about skiing is that the pros are interacting with the community and tons of people have met and hung out with some great skiers. Stoked to watch tonight.....

thanks for taking the time out to post stuff and make the videoblogs. Those are getting me so stoked on seeing the games go down.

Recent JO video blogs indicate to me that Jon takes the trash talked on this site WAY too seriously. If you're reading this, don't worry about it dude, no one actually thinks you're cheating, kids here will just make anything into a big deal. Don't take anything here personally.

jeajeajeajeajea
sick to see a pro like jon comin onto NS to let us know whats good

shame i couldn't get you on my SSE though :(

buttermilk is the worst mountian they could have chosen for a perfect slopestykle course. I'm stoked to see what people will do on these step downs.

it was bound to be suspected that you were manipulating the jumps, are you happy that your worth more on sse than simon dumont

Deserves a second quote. Please read this jon. Try to ignore most of the hating that goes on here.

I don't think he's really taking the hate seriously. I think that Jon is trying to interact with the NS crowd, the main crowd that watches his videoblogs. He's Jon fucking Olsson he just wants to keep people watching his videoblogs which he will by interacting with his watchers. He will outski anybody on this site his pride probably has nothing to do with this. I think you just want to clear things up with people that are talking shit, just like tanner did in that one thread a while back when hating tanner was the hot thing to do.

I am glad he is trying to clear things up with his audience, I want to know what is going on in the freeski world behind the scenes. I am glad he is reading what we have to say, and that what we say is being heard. Maybe this will make people think before they post a hate comment about anybody, that the pros read this stuff.

...So now you are hating on him for posting this and taking us too seriously?

I don't think that people of some online community hating on him will ruin his day or something.

Keep telling us what you think Jon. I think it's great.

i agree, all the smack that's been talked on Jon is really just nit picking.

and for every 1 person who genuinely dislikes Jon, there are at least 500 people who like him.
