Ya, so I knocked another tooth out yesterday! pictures to come once I can smile, my upper lip is really swollen right now.

Oh jeez chris, sorry to hear! I still remember that day very well, you sign languaging "water", and the idiot patrollers who didn't know where/what the park was.

So what happened?

I usually just kill em right after the anal sex so they never actually find out that I can't pay.

I sailed over the handlebars of my BMX facefirst onto the concrete

well, I'm going to have to get a flipper because I'm poor

a flipper is like a retainer with a false tooth on it so you look normal, its just temporary

somewhere down the line I'm going to have to get an implant or a bridge

you should get one of these:

yes. become bionic man, I tride to get the docs to put some titanium and/or carbon in me but they would not a bionic tooth would be the shitlles though.

i have one of those^. looks like TERMINATOR. implants are dooope.

flippers have their advantages though. you look normal until you wanna freak people out (or eat =/). great party tricks.

ya my upper lip was so swollen because there was a chunk of toof imbedded inside it, they just finally took it out today

That is exactly what I'm going to get, soon I will be bionic toof man!

A dental implant goes into the jaw bone like a natural tooth root goes into the jaw bone. Look at the dental implant diagram above and compare the dental implant to the natural tooth root. However, the dental implant is made out of titanium metal and the natural tooth root is made out of dentin with a coating on its outside called cementum. The dental implant post precisely connects to the top of the dental implant. The dental implant post is usually screwed into the top of the dental implant. An artificial dental crown can be made to precisely fit onto the implant post. Most patients prefer natural looking porcelain fused to gold crowns so that the artificial dental crown can cosmetically blend into the mouth.

The gums around the dental implant hug the top of the dental implant. The top of the dental implant is highly polished so that the gums can grow tightly to the polished surface and seal out food and debri.

The jaw bone around the dental implant holds it firmly in the mouth. The pressure from chewing on the implant crown is transmitted to the underlying bone and helps keep this bone healthy. Bone needs stimulation or it will melt away.

In this diagram there is an artificial crown placed on top of the dental implant post. This closely resembles the way natural intended teeth to function. Some patients prefer to attach a bar to several implants so that a denture can firmly clip to the bar. This is a less expensive use of dental implants and for many patients, helps correct their loose dentures problem. The dental implant show above is called a root form dental implant, however, a blade/plate form dental implant is available.
