Why is the trend right now is to ski as if you are using a mono ski with no upper body control ? It's just sloppy.

Yeah seriously,

Anyone who I have seen lately skiing without poles is almost always skiing with mittens (as opposed to gloves). and the ski with the arms flailing and yet they hands are always rigidly pointing. next time you see someone skiing like this you will see it

I would keep arms slightly bent and then with each turn (if you have have to) alternate with left/right extensions like you're punching)... anyway some footage would help.

Mittens aren't even going to stay on (unattached) if you're turning hard enough!
 
In my own opinion, everyone can ski however they want. In my case, I like to ski like the bunch, and it's fun to me!

Whoooooooah ridemon chill dude mittens are nice and warm (plus out here in the Midwest we all use choppers cause their cheap and the tow ropes won't eat em as fast.)

Ski how you want dick head. Some people pole plant and some don't know what poles just do what ever suits you... there are plenty of different styles at the moment
