Let's just say it's east of Cisco Grove, but west of Donner Summit. I was just thinking about that train jump the other day. It's still one of the sickest things I've seen, only because there was no way to speed check it. The in-run was a trough dug into the snow, but not wide enough so you could throw the skis sideways, so no one knew how fast to hit it. The landing was boilerplate and the runout was all huge suncups. Everyone was debating and it didn't seem like it was a go. Then we heard the train coming and Rodd Adams stepped up and said he was going to hit it. He sidestepped up to what he thought was right and when the engines came he dropped and threw a big old lincoln, stomping it perfectly in the sweet spot.
I'd say it wasn't as big as the one Raps, Anderson and Jamie hit in Chapter 3, but it wasn't into 3 feet of pow either.
