This thread is for posting the no doubt amazing and beautiful photographs you took while skinning. Also for video, or any other one-off media you might have. Show everybody where you went today.

Note: If you want to post a trip report, feel free to make a new thread dedicated to it. Good TR's deserve their own thread.

Too stoked to have our own area on Newschoolers, goes to show how rad the site is! To share the stoked here's some photos of early season touring. Can't wait to get out and do some more! Just bought a few new camera batteries, the cold will not win again.

Going up to Mount Blackmore, Hyalite Canyon MT.

I spent the past 5 days at the Discovery Cabin in Wells Gray Provincial Park in BC doing an AST 1/2 course with school. With poor stability we stuck to low angle trees but still had some great skiing.

Got to take a heli in which was awesome.

Really glad this forum has been created. Stoked to see what people are doing out there. Here is a picture of one of my favorite couloirs.

Had skied this zone many times before, had no idea this particular bowl existed, though.

sometimes, when you have an hour and a half before work, you just need to get pitted.

Disclaimer: it's much easier to ski into this zone than it is to rap in. But I hadn't been roped up, on rock, in years. Worth it.

TERMINAL CANCER!

That bitch is on the hitlist.

Ditto. Half the reason I want to get a sled is for that approach, though.

It got WAY deeper than expected in the Wasnatch than expected. Best 1-3" I've skied in a while. Full disclosure, he's on tele.

Less than half the snow only a couple miles North.

Hell yeah dude. Today was a great day in the Was Angeles. We skied a North Superior, Cardiac Ridge then climbed back to the top of Superior and skied the south face home.

I took a nice marathon-length tour into the heart of Yellowstone over the weekend to go check out an area I had never been in. Lots of ski potential, but one hell of an approach!

Headwaters of the Gallatin River

Three Rivers Peak! The Gallatin starts on this side, the Madison starts on the SW side, and the Yellowstone starts on the SE side. A few gnarly lines I want nothing to do with run down the N side.

On Saturday we went out to check out the Angel Slides in the Adirondacks. The snow started to feel sketchy about halfway up so we dug a second pit and got ETC11 Q1 about 60cm from the top of the profile, and made the very easy decision to turn around. On our way out, and once in safer terrain, we found a nice waterfall begging to be jumped off of, so we did!

Fun some fun mellow lines on Rainier yesterday.

It was super fun to get out with my two friends who just chopped their own splitboards

Trappette in Chamonix. After a solid 30 mins walk up a rocky, muddy path in plastic boots eventually got onto some real stuff :)

Went for a walk to find some snow in the Rossland Range last week.

Summer stoke!!

I escaped my office for some skiing.

On the first day of my trip we toured around Portillo. The conditions were excellent, with a pow run and a soft crud run, both leading to Portillo's beautiful Laguna del Inca. There were rocks, but they weren't really a factor.

After staying in the cabin of a Chilean mountain club, we spent Friday near Portillo getting the truck stuck, and losing an iPhone 6 in the process of digging it out.

After Portillo, I decided to go to Chillan with one of the others in our group. We drove through the night and arrived in Chillan Saturday morning. In Chillan we slept in the van and toured for three days. The snow was good as well and we climbed/skied 97% of Volcan Chillan Nuevo. After skiing I hitchhiked back to town and took an overnight bus back to my city, arriving just in time for a meeting at the office.
