The tour de france thread

floyd botched it! he fell back to 11th! i can't believe it! i'm rather upset, it would be sweet to have another american win and piss off the french that much more.

lance had a house in france, but the people there hate him so much that he had to sell it and leave, the french are so pissed that an american dominated 'their' bike race for so long.
 
Landis just destroyed everyone today! That was unbelievable, he moved up to 3rd and is only 30 seconds behind 1st place. It's all going to come down to saturdays time trial, and he is an excellent time trial rider so we will see if he has anything left in him. Today was an awesome stage!!!
 
aaah im so nervous for tomorrow!! floyds gonna pull it off... i hope!! plus hes from PA :D

does anyone know how landis did today. i dont have oln to watch it so i was jw bc im rooting for him to win also
 
It makes me feel quite nice inside to know that the American dominance of the tour has been increased to 8 years. I bet the French people love that, perhaps they don't care since it's someone else besides Lance.

I hear that Discovery wants to sign him since his contract will be over shortly. Although he sounded like he wanted to stay at Phonak. Only time will tell...
 
well he has to get his hip replaced so for right now, he's not doing anything. i heard somewhere that depending on how the surgery/recovery goes this may have been his last tour
 
they still have to test his B sample. They are also saying that the test for testosterone isnt as reliable as one would think. so we'll see what happens.
