The Suicide Forest

its really fucking disturbing...
interesting how he says that commiting suicide from not fitting in with society or being depressed from that is a relatively new phenomenon

i understand that someone would want to end their life in a beautiful place but once you got in there how could you actualy do it seeing what you would be leaving, and did anyone else find that man interesting to listen to, not even just the material but his views and principals, he seems like someone i would want to have a conversation with if i spoke japanese

i also dont know how i could have his job. it would be so depressing walking around finding people that had killed themselves

Agreed. I wonder if that's more japanese culture, or this guy's personality. A bit of both, I'm sure... Either way, cool story and a great storyteller.

Slender man must live there. The parking lot must be pretty full if 100 people leave there cars there every year.

I'd be so scared to walk around in a forest looking for dead bodies, and talking the people who are thinking about suicide out of it.

And the guy who he talked to in the yellow tent, who lived there for 30 days off liquids alone, wow.

A bit off topic, but i love finding bones in the forest. It is like finding a jigsaw puzzle with pieces missing. Makes me feel like a detective or some shit. Although, i have yet to find human bones. I don't know how I would react to that.

Really interesting documentary, I really liked how peaceful and relaxed the guy was about the whole thing. Anyone think most of that video was fixed though? I didn't think so until he found the human skeleton. He said it was there for 2 years, but the clothes that hung on it looked way too new and undisturbed for that to be the case. Judging by the vegetation I'd imagine that forest gets ALOT of rain so I feel like the clothes would be a lot more soiled than that. The shoes just kind of laying in there original position where the feet should be just seemed kind of corny to me. Really bizarre video though.
