I love my forester.
07 alpine white n/a with 105k on it. It's perfect for getting up to the hill with you and 4 friends. Plus it's a wagon so you have the extra room and don't have to pay the insurance for a wrx. I went with a n/a so it would be cheaper and more reliable, but I'm definitely gonna get a turbo'd car later on.
The pre 09 foresters are essentially imprezas/wrx's with a different body. A ton of the parts bolt directly on. In the next couple months I'm making mine a pavement princess and putting on 17's and swapping out my stock struts and springs for some wrx ones to drop it about 2 to 3 inches. I don't care if you wanna talk shit about mine, foresters with a drop look sick and I'm not going to be going offroad with it so it's still going to be functional. It's still going to handle the same in the snow, I just won't have as much clearance.
