My friend was in that and this is what he told me...
Tom Wallisch prganized the whole thing at the top and they all ripped down and did the whole train thing. After doing it what he told me "around 5" times a single ski po tried to stop the group of 70. The guys didn't stop and they had ski po getting brought up on snowmobiles to stop this so-called madness.
The park was roped off and the 70 simply ducked the rope. At this point, ski po and officials were literally tackling skiers in an attempt to stop as many trainers as possible. The escaping bunch of which my friend was in trained it up and all tried to rush the gondola to escape the pursuing masses of ski po.
My friend was running to the gondola as what he described her as "fatass" lady jumped in the liftline and stopped all vermont openers demanding all of their passes. My friend booked the opposite direction and a man grabs his arm telling him to give up his pass. He says get the fuck off of me and elbows the guy in the chest. The guy lets go and my friend runs away with no penalty
The authorities threatened to call the VT Open off. Luckily they carried on with the event, but the VT Open will never be allowed at Stratton again.
