i know how cliched and gay this movie is, like how the girl sprains her ankle just as shes about to get to safety and shit, but still, that movie freaked me out. like when you first see the guy in the house standing RIGHT behind the girl silently in the doorway, then she turns around and HES NOT THERE. the stuff that happened in this movie really actually gave me the first nightmares ive had since jaws (the original, not the gay ones where the shark is in a lake,) now i freak out when im alone in the house and i think i hear shit.
 
haha that movie scared the shit out of me as well. it is cliche and really predictable, but still gave me a scare. when the country music starts playing and the bagface dude is doing somethinh creepy (i forget, last time i watched was in november) i was flippin out. but yeah i had nightmares and was very afraid of the dude with the bag over his face showing up in my doorway and killing me at night.
 
I watched it by myself i was scared I wanted to turn it off, but i didn't and it was worth it
 
its scary because that could realistically happen. I got so creeped out by it when I saw it the first time I saw it too

 
i can see how it was scarry, but all i thought of it was agiant waste of money for the people making it.. did not entertain me at all.
 
its scary cause the house looks just like a few of my friends places. its scary cause its just people doing shit not for personal gain or out of hatred or anything...they just do it to do it.

its kind of a cheap ass scare tactic movie though, just stuff popping out all the time. that second time she opens the window though and the face is there....worst shit ever.
 
If you guys want to see a really good thriller similar to this but better watch Funny Games. It's so fucked up. Nick was talking about how they do it just because the can, well that's the entire basis for this movie. They do it because they enjoy it, and no other reason why. It was an older German flick, but they recently redid it in English. It's pretty fucking scary; especially the end. The entire movie just leaves you feeling so unsettled, helpless, and violated. I HIGHLY recommend you watch it.

It was just to make the viewer feel even more helpless about the family's situation. It showed how evil was going to prevail no matter what. Once the good guys started to win, they rewound the movie to reverse it.
