okay so i went to see the strangers tonight...

it is probably the best movie i have seen all year. fucking awesome. it is so fucked up it's not even funny. i shit my pants at least 5 times during this thing. i have been waiting for a month and it was soooo worth it. the end is so fucked up, and the very last scene seriously was fucking crazy. CRAZY!!

GO SEE IT!!!!!!!!

damn you're standards must be low as fuck if it is the best movie you've

seen this year. I got coerced into seeing it, and damn, the thing is so

cliche and just generic. Yea, it had a couple OK instances, but its

pretty much just another poopy scary movie on par with most of the past

few years. Just cheap scares and shit. Not a very good movie. Save your money. There is better shit out there, and will be more over the next few weeks.

damn dude i don't know what you saw. it could be because i'm a huge scary movie fan, well movies like this one. i thought it was pretty damn good. what movies have you seen this year that were better?

fuckkk i forgot about ironman. i will admit it is better, but the strangers is still the shit. you guys are crazy.

people always say that "this movie is the best movie ever" when they just come out of the theater

thats a fucking good movie man..........its like most horror movies but something about it was omazing......first movie that actually made me jump.......'

take the girlfriend....that makes it even better

word dude i did. she was really scared and i thought it was pretty funny. a few parts were pretty fucking crazy though. i thought it was a good ass movie. glad someone agrees haha.

i cant recall ever hearing about this movie, but i am sure i have seen tons of commercials on it and just cant remember cuz im not really into horror movies. what is it about?

2 people go on a honeymoon thing or whatever and three peeople with masks on like rape them or sumthing hehe, i havent seen it.

2 people go to a summer vacation and "the strangers" torment them and shit and fuck with them big time. then the next morning they like finally capture them and fuck their days up. and it's based on true events...

you gotta be joking man... this movie was so shitty, and deserved the 1/2 star it got by the reviewers. the main guys mask wasnt even the same the whole time (parts it had the seems going down the side, like in the picture posted, and other parts, it was compleatly smooth...) so i thought there were multiple killer guys or w/e you call them.

shitty costume design, and the ending SUCKED so badly. not to mention, the filming was shakey and out of focus A LOT (probably the style they shot it in, but it only works for the scary part of th emovie, not the first part of it) and was distracting. you could also tell where the guy was going to pop out, and when.

the only thing the movie did was scare the shit out of me haha. it could have been good, but they messed it up IMHO.

yeah see though i don't look into a movie THAT MUCH. yeah it wasn't perfect, but the guys mask wasn't exactly the same...big deal. although it had a lot more potential that it didn't live up to. i basically went to that movie to be scared shitless, and i was. and there is no fucking way you knew that girl was gonna scream at the end. i fucking jumped 10 feet when that happened.

just came back from seeing it.... one of the best movies. it reminded me of v for vendetta with those creep masks but the 7 dollars for a ticket was so worth it

that's how i feel...if you're going to pick apart a movie that much then god damn there are now good movies. it scared the living shit out of me, that's what i wanted...i give it an A+

yea it scared me, but the low quality of the movie makes it a shitty film.... if a movie is going to be the best film or a really good film, it cant really have shitty filming, and costumes that blatantley (at least it stood out to me) dont match up. not to mention that there is NO motive for the killers to kill these people (maybe this is due to the events the movie is based on, but i am not sure)

as a horror film, it was good. nothing to keep me scared a few days after, but it made me jump. to say it is an amazing film in my opinion, is an overstatement. amazing films have all the good ingrediants to a good film, and use them to get their point across

I didn't like it. generally movies like this do not entertain me, and this was no exception. The premise is just fucked up, and the delivery was ok at best. Just not a fan of the horror genre i guess

i hope i dont ruin the movie for anyone but can someone please explain to me why at the end she said..."dont worry next time it will be easier" as in like forgiving themselves for killing or easier to kill the little boys?

I thought is was wicked good and messed up. Those kids did it, "because they were home." Its pretty predictable but I still jumped and tweaked a couple times.

just got back from it. there really wasnt a story but it was the most suspensful movie ive seen in a long time so i give it a B+

the end of the movie was fucking terrible. Plus if that was me in that house with a 12 gauge mad ammo vs 2 chicks and a dude with knifes and an axe i would have fucked them up.

I saw it and it wasn't that good. The last scene made me jump but other than that it was pretty lame. I am interested though in what "true events" it was based upon. I have been looking that up this morning.

if you think about it...the only true things that could have happened were they went to stay there and were at the wedding reception before. then the kids found them and how they were killed and there were 3 masks...that's all that can be true.

also i heard it was based on the manson murders so idk if the story is even true?

Whenever i'm watching TV at night and the commercial comes on i shit my pants. So yeah, is it one of those movies that'll prevent me from sleeping for a year, or one that i'll forget about?

"Based on True Events", is not the same as "Based on a True Story". The writer cites the helter skelter - Tate murders as inspiration, but obviously the connection there is thin at best. The director was pressed on this claim, and explained that the true events were merely the thousands of examples of seemingly senseless violence committed in home invasions. Basically, it isn't based on any particular incident or crime, it's marketed as such because it )hopefully) makes it more intriguing and scary. If anything, it should be "Based on Another, Better, French Movie".
